Re: Bath v Leinster
Are they the more popular team though? I'd say it's really just in media circles, in general ourselves and Ulster would have similar levels of support to them and if we want to be specific well we're ahead on attendance figures (thanks Lansdowne RD). I'm fine with the flattery when it's in a review...

Don't get me wrong, i do rate cronin, he is a very good ball carrier, he just annoys me the way he is blind to what's around him when he makes the breaks. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/rugby_union/15987754.stm Check out 1m:06sec of this bbc highlights clip from last weekend. Re: Bath v Leinster
For the craic, at some point during the season, I'd like to see a backline of: 9. Madigan 10. Sexton 11. Carr 12. Fitzgerald 13. O'Malley 14. McFadden 15. Nacewa I'd enjoy watching that backline have a crack. Even more so with Dave Kearney in for McFadden. Not saying it would be our best available ...

Terrible news, a brilliant player. Hope he comes back next season, would be such a shame to end a fabulous career in Swansea.

He did. It's on YouTube. It was unintentional. Went high and made a few grabs. Smith's hair was flying about and BOD ended up grasping one of the dreads accidentally. Accidental my backside! Accidental or not BOD went straight over to George Smith and apologised to him at the next breakdown in play.

Re: Glasgow Heineken Match at Firhill
Nothing wrong with that kick off time, the lads seem to be raring to get going and very productive at that hour  Never mind that, no beer in the ground on Sunday :-( Thought that no booze on a Sunday was in their former ground (Dowanhill?) and that Firhill had no issue with that. The game was...

Neck injury forces Thompson to retire
England hooker Steve Thompson has been forced to retire with immediate effect after suffering another neck injury. Thompson has been experiencing numbness and dizziness since hitting a scrum machine in training with Wasps on October 26th and he will have an operation on Tuesday. The 33-year-old brie...

The BBC has agreed a deal to broadcast the 6N
The BBC has agreed a deal to broadcast the Six Nations until 2017. It extends BBC Sport's current deal, which runs until 2013, as exclusive broadcaster of the Six Nations and covers TV, radio and online. This year's tournament saw audiences increase to their highest level for 13 years, with an aver...

Re: Leinster v Cardiff
Moving onto the International side, the whole point of resting our star players in the Celtic/Magners/Rabid league was to ensure optimum performance for the national team. Wales have won more, and gone further in the WC, than Ireland, despite our "golden generation" and a similar stance o...

Re: Leinster v Cardiff
Probably because during the period where Irish domestic teams were plundering everything in sight the national team has won bugger all. Coming second or third in the Six Nations doesn't really count as success in comparison. I take your point WB. But, in the H Cup the French talent is spread over 1...

Re: Leinster v Cardiff
Sorry, but all of what you say only confirms, in my mind, the dreadful underperormance of team Ireland over the last decade. All (3!) of the provinces have serious strength in depth, and that is why we are able to continually rotate players in and out of the team and still win games against the oth...

Don't get all this crying about the Welsh. We're going to be without a load of internationals too. We were without a load of internationals last weekend. Munster fielded an entirely 2nd string side against Embra. Ulster left out Best and Ferris, etc. We're no better than anyone else when it comes t...

The Leinster squad underwent their first on-field pitch session in UCD on Monday ahead of the visit of Cardiff Blues to the RDS on Friday night (KO: 8.05pm) in the RaboDirect PRO12... Is this the first phase of Leinster's move to UCD? Found this article from a week or so ago ... Leinster Rugby CEO ...
