As a believer in liberal democracy rather than totalitarianism I'm glad that he got a payout.
People should be allowed to voice their opinions and still play rugby.
This might encourage employers to keep their noses out of their employees private lives.

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020
And every time Munster meet a top pack they get beaten, even if they aren't playing well like Saracens. Last season, Munster's pack beat yours as did Saracens, remember? Worth pointing out that Leinster beat themselves. Even playing against 13/14 Munster didn't create in that match. If you think th...

Re: Munster, The Money Pit Province 2019/2020
Yeah it was Keatley who missed all those lineouts against Racing when everyone decided he was the problem. No wait: he rescued your incompetent pack from missed lineout, your scrum half had a stinker and has barely had a good game for you since, your back row got blown off the ball, you couldn't pr...

Apart from what you might call cameos from Tyler, Joey and Johnny Holland, so few in number, have they been, we haven't had a quality 10 since ROG. So the guts of 10 years. If we had we'd possibly have won the HC a couple of more times. People forget how close we came in semis in France 5 or 6 year...

I've just turned on the connacht game. The nicest thing about having Ryle and Fiona commentating is that they won't be able to ruin either of the other two games today.

The fine will be no bother to them since they're debt free.
They'll just borrow £6 million from Nigel which debt they'll make disappear in due course via some financial wizardry

Not only did all the provinces win this weekend, but if you ignore Scotland, as you should, teams from all the other participating countries were defeated in the process.

Ryle and Fiona doing the connacht game currently and in fairness, it's Ryle who's doing my head, sounding like someone trying to squeeze one out. I wish he'd just shut up from time to time, every time he pauses he finishes on 'and' so we know there's more to come. When he isn't describing what we ca...

Re: HEC R1 Leinster v Treviso Sat 3.15 BT Sports
A scrappy performance tbh. Game management wasn't great. Just after we scored our BP, a random thought occurred that 3 converted tries would win it for Benetton and two would get them a LBP and a TBP. Queue McGrath tap peno brain fart, Benetton controlled the next 13 mins, scored a try and but for ...

I think that was the first time I've seen a lot of empty spaces at Clermont for a HC game and so the atmosphere wasn't as raucous as usual.

Good point, it's not just by playing, you can also be credible if you've coached at the top level. I don’t understand why you need to have done either to be credible. I consider Murray Kinsella credible, and I’d be very interested to hear the contributions of anyone who does analysis for any team a...

Re: HEC R1 Leinster v Treviso Sat 3.15 BT Sports
Also employing someone to offer expert analysis who has never played rugby to a standard anywhere near Heineken cup level is a bit problematic in at least a couple of ways. It smacks of tokenism and also these experts can come across as a bit desperate to show how much they know. Finally women's vo...

Ryle Nugent is a pain in the hole. Awful to listen to him and the woman commentating alongside him. 'The woman'?That'll be Fiona Couglan, former Irish captain, to you. But I agree about Nugent. I agree with him. At one stage I lost commentary and just had the crowd noise but they fixed it unfortuna...

Holland is underrated, sure. But he's at the end of his career and Munster have a signing next year at lock. It'll fit the narrative to ease Holland out. Plus it's a South African coach picking a South African player who has been getting picked so far. I actually don't feel that Billy Holland was u...
