Re: Connacht 2014/15
I've seen conflicting comments even on his influence behind the scenes. Some said he's great to have around the place, others have said they've heard he wasn't that bothered. He appears to be on a farewell tour where the main purpose is to pick up a nice pay cheque where he can, to be honest. He sta...

Re: Leinster Player of the Season 2014/15?
None of our NIQ's in for consideration thus far. Honestly, if Te'o had been available for the full season, I think we'd see his name mentioned. I don't think he'd be a worthy winner but his attacking game for us thus far has been very strong. Douglas, Gopperth and Kirchner don't come within an asse...

Re: Leinster Player of the Season 2014/15?
I'd say Conan will be a lock for young player , but as for senior player, I must admit I'm fairly stumped. Will he? I think his form has taken a nose dive since the Ulster game just after the new year. If I was to go with a young player, I'd go for Furlong personally, at this point. He has played w...

Re: Rumour Mill
I was very dubious when they signed him. He was coming back from another big injury, wasn't wanted in NZ any longer and was well advanced in years. I hope he delivered behind the scenes as he simply was not worth the money on the field.

Re: Rumour Mill
It's obscene money, Flash. CP is a really exciting, promising talent. He's only 23 though and has achieved very, very little to date. He has started one Rugby Championsip game ever. He is not the machine that guys like Smith, Savea, Rokocoko or Sivivatu are/were. He has 3 tries in his 14 caps (again...

Re: Rumour Mill
IT saying Piutau signing confirmed by Ulster..... Great for them, dreadful indicator of how far our stock has fallen when it comes to NIQs. All they've done is change the headline on their article with no source. I think that money for a guy who hasn't proven himself at the top level yet, really, i...

Re: Rumour Mill
If they've signed Piatau, it's ludicrous. What is their fascination with full backs? He has played most of his rugby at 15 but can play centre or wing. Essentially the same profile as Payne and Ludik. Not arriving until 2016 when Williams and Ludik are gone Yeah.....but....you see......well..... Sh...

Re: Rumour Mill
By and large he has given the right players a go. I would have liked to see O'Connell and Hudson get more time last year but I'm not sure how they are doing with Bristol, and my opinion is based on the little I saw of them before they left. JOC was a loss but you can hardly convince a bloke to stay...

Re: Rumour Mill
How he can be expected to slot in at 10 for the RWC and the 6 Nations next season without any experience at this level is beyond me. I suspect the answer is quite simple. He's not expected to do so. He's not even being considered for that role, I suspect. He turns 23 during the RWC and has a grand ...

Re: Leinster A 2014-2015
Before the game, I would have thought we'd be thereabouts but, listening to the commentary, there was only one pack in it. I know we stole a couple of early line outs and that generally went well (which Dundon would be a big part of) but outside of that, we appeared to be completely beaten up. At on...

Re: Leinster A 2014-2015
We had a top team out. A team well capable of winning that game. It was a strong starting side, mainly in the backs but the pack was badly disrupted. VDF pulled out before the game. We lost Molony and then Marshall shortly after, both in the early stages. So we played the bulk of the game with the ...

Re: Leinster A 2014-2015
take from the Wuss forum. "Leinster were far and away the best side we have played this season(Championship included )-well organised, took the ball at speed ,offloaded excellently, and had excellent handling and passing skills." This seems to be a recurring theme whenever I go to look up h...

Re: Leinster A 2014-2015
Doesn't sound like halfbacks have been very good at all. Marsh kicks into middle of pitch on halfway from a clean line out, Worcester field it and run it back in for a try.

Re: Leinster A 2014-2015
Been listening to the game since about 20 minutes in. Commentators seem to be quite impressed with Kelleher who is making breaks and getting on the ball a lot. Te'o has been quiet but made good yards when he has been given clean ball. Marsh has missed a couple of kicks and not a lot of mention other...
