Re: Schools Rugby 2009-10 - SCT
They have also been in more finals than anyone else in the last 20 years(I think) so I don't think you can say they are 'developing' into a reputable school. getting to finals and losing is about as good as not getting past the 1st round which i doubt clongowes will do this year. I just cant see th...

Re: Schools Rugby 2009-10 - SCT
The St. Gerard's v Kilkenny College semi-final has been rescheduled for next Wednesday in Carlow. The Carlow pitch was unplayable since before last Saturday's postponed AIL Division 3 game. I heard that Mary's gave Kilkenny a game on Wednesday and beat them 14-10. So on the basis of the two team's ...

Don't go and bottle that cup now Castleknock, shameless self promotion by players means nothing if you don't do it in Donnybrook.

http://intranet.wellingtoncollege.org.uk/page.aspx?id=8849 Thoughts? Should be a decent tournament depending on what the teams put out, very rare for Rock ect to have a competative match before Christmas so I wonder how this could effect teams overall preparation for this year. Strange Gonzaga bein...

Re: Magners League to RTÉ/TG4
How is this a disaster? Firstly 2 games a week on FTA is superb for rugby and the league's profile. It says in the article 2 so why are people so uptight? BBCNI will probably pick up some rights too for some Ulster games. With S4C and BBC Wales already covering we can see the League on lots of chann...

Re: Schools Rugby 2009-10 - JCT
Apparently St Michaels and Blackrock are way ahead of everyone else this year. I saw Clongowes beat CBC on Saturday and both were pretty average (Clongowes won by 14). Clongowes had a massive prop in the Tony Buckley mode! CBC are really small. I know that in friendlies Michaels beat CBC easily and...

Oh yeah, now the Guinness Premiership snobs won't look down their noses at us for not having playoffs. Finally we can measure up to their greatness.

Re: Schools rugby on Setanta Ireland
I'd say so considering they have no rights worth talking about aside from their one random Premier League game a week and the Magners. I'm not quite sure about the costs but all the school sports they show(no just rugby the basketball and GAA) would deliver an audience during the weekdays. They did ...

Re: Darcy's Ba Ba Socks
I know many of you Leinster bandwagoners are new to rugby, and don't understand the customs and traditions of the game, so I will forgive your ignorance. However, people with true rugby pedigree such as myself, would understand that it is normal for Irish players to wear the socks of their school t...

You gotta love some Munster fans, sure Rog isn't known to sledge on the pitch at all I didn't like what he did re Mafi but good God some of them think Rog is a bloody angel.
