Re: Munster in the Aviva, August 22nd, 7.35pm KO
Would agree with a lot of the sentiment on here. Thought we looked rusty but that's understandable. Reffing was a bit lopsided. Toner's yellow was harsh and Sexton was right, the ruck was absolute chaos. Scrum was solid and I thought we had then on the rack a few times. With another ref could've go...

Re: Leinster v Salarysins
What was most noticeable for me was Saracens' inability to convert nearly half-a-dozen 5m scrums or 5m lineouts into tries. Apart from one right at the death they never really looked like scoring tries from them. Also clear was the gap between Wigglesworth's kicking game and that of Aled Davies whe...

Re: Leinster Rugby's historic 2017/18 double-winning season
Not sure what people expected this to be? Dressing room footage of bust-ups and high drama?! It was always going to be a mix of highlights and player interviews. I enjoyed it to be honest. Particularly Isa's bits and the little insight into Stuesdays. Also blaming Leinster's media output for it is ...

I think Fardy shoud be included in that list, irrespective of whether he is in the 2nd row list. If we were playing Saracens tomorrow, I'd want a 4,5,6 to be Toner, Ryan and Fardy.

Re: Leinster Squad 19-20
A couple of injuries and players away in Ireland Camp means the front row now looks very shallow. Who's next off the rank in the Academy? Clarkson & Ward at TH, Bobby Sheehan at Hooker, ?? at LH. Any thoughts? Possible senior squad next season? LH Prop(4) Cian Healy(32) - Signed central 2yr cont...

As an adjunct to this, when will Conan be back and when will Leavy be back?Twist wrote:If the match is *significantly* delayed then Saracens’ squad might have partially disintegrated by the time it’s played. A lesser delay would probably suit them just fine though, since they’d likely get Bill Vunipola back

Re: Leinster Academy 19/20
Seems increasingly like time and commitment to the Sub-Academy is becoming a key component of player development within the Leinster pathway. If players don't adapt to the disciplines required within the Centre of Excellencee, they may be judged as unsuitable for further development in Leinster. Fe...

Re: Ireland u20 2020
I can't understand why they flog Thomas Clarkson so much. He played every game last year and this to almost 80 mins in each game. Whatever about him needing to be rested / protected, the other issue is if he gets injured there is no one else with ANY experience.

Re: Ireland u20 2020
I had a look at the Wales Italy match. Italy simply bullied them up front. Lineouts, scrums, breakdown was dominated by italy and they should have won by a lot more. Wales defended well. It doesn't necessarily mean it will be an easy game for Ireland but youd have to fancy our lads to win by more t...
