Re: Leinster v Munster URC Semi Final Aviva Stadium Sat 13th 5.30pm
I had forgotten how much it hurts to lose a serious game against Munster. First thought I had when I woke this morning. Infinitely more painful than the Bulls last year.

You could see how much it meant to them to beat Leinster A after all those years of trying though. All their tears of joy would melt the coldest heart.

Re: Leinster v Munster URC Semi Final Aviva Stadium Sat 13th 5.30pm
Munster kept us the game by turning down about 5 kickable penalties. I really thought they would bottle it after we got that second try,but they were the better team despite some poor refereeing decisions. Frank Murphy's games are always frustrating though. No rolling away, neck rolls galore, incons...

Re: Leinster v Munster URC Semi Final Aviva Stadium Sat 13th 5.30pm
I think The Ben Healy battle vs Harry Byrne is really interesting. Healy played second fiddle to Harry in the 2019 under 20s and Healy probably looked at him all along as the guy that got all the chances to impress in Ireland camp and frustrated him enough to give up on representing his country of b...

Re: Leinster v Munster URC Semi Final Aviva Stadium Sat 13th 5.30pm
Listening to injury updates and the coded language from Goodman, it sounds like we won't be risking anyone at all in this and are very much holding back Euro starters. With that in mind, 23 is shaping up to be something like: Milne, Kelleher, Mike, Jenkins, McCarthy, Baird, Connors, Deegan, McGrath...

Re: Leinster v Munster URC Semi Final Aviva Stadium Sat 13th 5.30pm
While I'm all for rotation and prioritising the big one, there's absolutely no hope we'll see a bench that callow on Saturday. McKee, Penny, Turner all from the last bench or game. Of the others - I just don't see them playing Furlong, Porter, Ross or JGP and not sure who else they would go with. I...

Re: Leinster v Munster URC Semi Final Aviva Stadium Sat 13th 5.30pm
I would be surprised if the injury update gave much away to be honest. I can imagine they'll keep cards close to chest. If Henshaw and Kelleher are fit and ready to go, they'll probably say nothing more than 'will be assessed as the week progresses' or whatever. It's so hard to predict the team here...

Re: Quarter Final vs Sharks, Sat 6th May 17:00 (RTE 2)
Actually I'd probably have TOB on right wing and Larmour on left wing if Lowe isn't available. Reckon TOB could have a big say in end of the season if he gets an opportunity. Would be fantastic, but suspect he won't make it. "Tommy O’Brien injured his shoulder in the first half against Vodacom...

Re: Leinster V Toulouse Semi Final
A few thoughts on the re-watch: JGP was immense. Didn't appreciate in stadium how good he was. Constant tempo, made the right decision 99% of the time and his kicking and sniping in particular were excellent. Ngatai is some player. What a piece of business that was. He's clearly a real leader and h...

Quarter Final vs Sharks, Sat 6th May 17:00 (RTE 2)
Don't want the HEC final thread to be up there on its own! We have the small matter of a massive QF in a week's time. Hard to know if we will change too many. I'd personally start Jenkins and Baird anyway. I'd also like to see Penny get a start and possibly Connors on the bench. Maybe one or two oth...

Re: A whiff of Cordite
Does anyone here rate Andy Dunne as a pundit? I haven't seen his name mentioned but I may have missed it. Sent from my CPH2145 using Tapatalk I think he's excellent. I don't agree with everything he says, but he articulates his points really well and is one of the few that uses stories effectively ...

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
I agree that Soroka will be a 6, but is it not a bit early to totally rule out Soroka as an option at lock? He's far more powerful then Wycherley and a much better prospect. I really don't think 6'4 locks will ever have a chance of a top career anymore. If the player has aspirations for the highest...

Re: Grahamunster - Graham Rowntree's Munster 2022/2023
RG out this weekend due to return to play protocols. He will be a big loss (pun intended). I personally would love to see Edogbo come into the starting 15 in his place, but probably more likely to see Fineen start. Barron is good to go and Killer has increased his training load and will be assessed...
