Re: HEC: Northampton v Leinster 07/12/13 KO 6PM

Offshore,

Take a look at my first post on this message thread. That's my best guess at a starting XV.

Re: HEC: Northampton v Leinster 07/12/13 KO 6PM

I'd be amazed if Lawes isn't starting lock with Day, and a back row of Wood, Dowson and Manoa. The wingers are likely to be George North and Ken Pisi Glenn Dickson is indeed a no.10/no.12. He was Otago's captain last season and has come in to bolster the squad. He's played 15 plenty of times for Ota...

Re: HEC: Northampton v Leinster 07/12/13 KO 6PM

To be fair Mujati wasn't showing the form of our campaign in 2011 so his loss isn't massive apart from the Ozzie Ma'afu turned up here rather on the portly side. He's slowly coming good. I remember when Tonga'uhia was just an overweight lump from Bedford when we signed him, so hopefully the same kin...

Re: HEC: Northampton v Leinster 07/12/13 KO 6PM

Congratulations on your win yesterday, seems that you are entering this week in pretty tip-top form. We have played really averagely the last couple of weeks, 18-0 win against Newcastle and then 33-10 victory at Worcester yesterday. No bonus points against two of the weaker teams in the Premiership....

Re: Welcome to Northampton

Rested.... they came back slightly broken from England so a weekend off was in order. The reason you keep winning the HEC is that you have (possibly had) a very good side. With Sexton and shortly BOD leaving your side, you are in a rebuilding period but I don't see that affecting you long term at al...

Re: Welcome to Northampton

That looks a good side. I don't know your Leinster players well enough to comment fairly, but when you have a post near the top of your site saying how poorly your backs have been playing I'm surprised you've listed so many. On current FORM.... Dickson is way ahead of Chucka Kahn at 9, North is not ...

Re: Welcome to Northampton

Dylan and Tom Wood could both have played last weekend according to Jim, but were rested for one extra week after the Internationals. George Pisi is definitely out as is Alex Corbisiero, but to be fair, Alex Waller has been brilliant this season in the loosehead role. In place of Pisi we could play ...

Re: HEC Opponent watch

Perhaps I'm just being a little precious, it just doesn't make good reading seeing ones club being slagged off all the time. As for Sarries... well they are this weekends opponents for us, just a shame that the English players have already been pinched from both sides for their training camps, meani...

Re: HEC Opponent watch

I'm not saying the Saints side are perfect... but in 2013, Denton, Bod and Healy have received bans for foul play. Bod & Healy both for stamping on defenceless players trapped on the bottom of a ruck. In a similar time scale, I can only remember Dylan being banned and that was for ALLEGEDLY verb...

Re: HEC Opponent watch

You are entitled to your opinion... no matter how wrong!! lol. Lawes.... go on then... show me the evidence! There must be loads of youtube clips of all his illegal dangerous tackles. Calum.... one incident in his time with the Saints. And that was a few years ago... does that not show the Saints ma...

Re: HEC Opponent watch

As for Lawes, if all he wanted to do was 'hurt' people then he'd be going around with sneaky punches or carelessly treading on players who are lying on the floor. As I said previously, he hasn't been carded many times, especially for his tackling. I'm sure there was an element in his tackling where ...

Re: HEC Opponent watch

If he abused the official then I agree with you.... If I agree with him, then his Lions ban was rather harsh just for calling Tom Youngs a cheat. The RFU couldn't PROVE who he said those words to, they just had to back their man as they would have had to admit that Barnes had destroyed their showpie...

Re: HEC Opponent watch

I agree with you... he has lost us some games and can be a twonk, but there is a massive difference in a negative way, when he isn't playing for the Saints. He is one of the types of players that other players want to play under. He was willing to stand down as captain this season after the Premiers...

Re: HEC Opponent watch

I don't know if any of you listen to BBC Radio 5's Fighting Talk on a Saturday morning, but their final round in the 'quiz' is called defend the indefensible....... !!! Calum Clark has received one ban whilst playing for Northampton for foul play in the three years he's been at the club. That one in...

Re: HEC Opponent watch

I travel down from Stoke for the home matches so I'm not the best one to ask..... there are many on www.comeonyousaints.com that will steer you in the right direction for good restaurants and rugby friendly pubs in the town. The town is a rugby town... well it has to be with the footy side being so ...

Re: HEC Opponent watch

I didn't say that you had been xenophobic... yet. When we met in the final a few years ago, some of the posts from contributors that I see are still here, were outrageously xenophobic. OK hands up.... I meant there are a vast amount of non-English Saints Supporters of which I am one. There are more ...

Re: HEC Opponent watch

Oh the Irony!!

How many times have SKY bent one of yours... or Munster's players over and inserted their tongue as deep as possible?

When does the Xenophobic, anti English stuff start? Let me know, so that I and the vast amount of non-english Saints supporters can come and join in.

Re: HEC Opponent watch

Corbisiero's knee injury has nothing to do with the condition that caused him so much grief over the last few years, where he was played injured. The latest injury comes from a Castres player falling on top of him and the club think he'll be out for between 2-4 weeks, hence why he's been retained in...

Re: Nacewa on Chris Ashton

Shame Ash couldn't use his pace with his dodgy knee.

The end caption on the video confussed me. On one hand, you say the Magner's is a tough league, and then when we beat 3 sides in it, you say they are easy?
