Niall Brophy — 10 tries in 20 matches between 1955 and 1966. The best strike rate of any player with 10 or more tries. Paul Haycock — one of only 3 Leinster players to score two hat tricks, and unlike Darce and Gary Brown he did it befpre the year 2000. Plus a decent strike rate of 14 tries in 43 ca...

Reassuring comments from Cheika in today's Irish Times: it's not a chronic injury (though this is worryingly similar to Cheika's comments earlier in the year about players being "not medically concussed") and he's expecting to have him back for the matches in March and April.

Re: Squad

And Niall Ronan amongst the backs again!

No Luke though. His injury must be fairly serious.

You should all have been out at St Marys watching Ireland-France women! Match of the day by far.

Unfortunately Ireland lost 13-10 after leading for most of the match and almost coming back to win it at the end. But it was our best ever result against France. Thrilling stuff.

I suppose a Dubs jersey is out of the question. Even on the Hill? :)

Whichever it was, while I can understand Leinster's concerns, its disappointing whenever a club won't release a player for international duty. Especially considering that the French clubs for instance were willing to release their Pumas, It's outside the IRB fixtures window and thus not covered by ...

I read the other day that Leinster insisted that the UAR pay Felipe's wages in the event of him picking up an injury, and that they refused. Was that his wages or an insurance policy? Whichever it was, while I can understand Leinster's concerns, its disappointing whenever a club won't release a pla...

He's been called into the squad as cover.

Without either BOD or Darce, how about moving one of the backrow to 12? Leamy and David Wallace have both played there for Munster and they'd provide some physical protection for ROG. And bring Gleeson in at 7 or Jamie at 8.

Interesting. From the UAR website though, it doesn't appear that he's ever been capped. So I wonder why the article refers to him as an Argentine international? Maybe at underage or something.

It was not a try at all, his body was in touch when he grounded the ball ! Very bad decision. He had a great game though. Whether his body was in touch is only relevant if a part of his body touched the ground in touch. One angle appears to show his right foot touching the ground before he grounds ...

I thought it was SF at home at the Stade de France? :? :? Yep....from Wikipedia: On January 27, 2007, Stade Français set yet another French attendance record by drawing 79,741 to Stade de France for their 22-20 win over Toulouse. You're correct there. They had their usual pre-match assortment of da...
