Re: Kimmage running down rugby..
Are you a little slow or maybe just a bit lazy? If, as a journalist, you're saying there's widespread doping in an Irish sport, maybe provide some evidence that it's happening other than saying "well it's happening in this country, so the exact same thing must be happening in Ireland?" Is...

Re: Time to go MOC
Not sure why Leo is getting criticised after today. Forwards went reasonably well overall, we had no gameplan and their were a ridiculous number of errors from the backs. Agreed. I can't imagine we'll make as many mistakes in a single match again ... We looked entirely clueless today. Quins must ha...

Re: Kimmage running down rugby..
You're right that there are areas of agreement and disagreement, but I am not convinced you have identified them correctly. I for one disagree with you on points 1 and 2 in your first list. 1) I don't like how he writes - I hate this human interest BS that Lance Armstrong thrived on. Just give me t...

Re: Kimmage running down rugby..
[ Kimmage is not a prosecutor, a judge or a jury. His job is not to prove anything. He opens the debate, and we choose to discuss it or not. Simple really. By this logic the man who yells "FIRE!!!" in a crowded cinema for a laugh is justified. Hey, he's not a fireman, but he just wants to...

Re: Kimmage running down rugby..
A few points: Kimmage was Brian O'Driscoll's biographer until his hissy fit about BOD giving an interview to another paper than his ended the arrangement. If he thought O'Driscoll was a doper, as he now appears to be portraying all rugby players, why would he agree to be his biographer in the first...

Re: Kimmage running down rugby..
Another thing I thought of earlier and not sure if its been mentioned anywhere yet....but the game wasn't even professional when that French player was playing. Of course there was going to be a change in how big the players got. you realise this actually supports kimmage's proposition as much as t...

Re: Kimmage running down rugby..
So we can all agree that: 1 It was a pretty crappy article without specific allegations based on personal information about doping 2 We don't really like Kimmage for various reasons 3 There is doping in rugby 4 There is disagreement as to how widespread it is 5 But most people believe that it is no...

Re: Kimmage running down rugby..
Being perfectly honest, do I believe that there maybe a PED culture in rugby? Yes. Can I prove it? No. Can anyone here? Can Kimmage? Maybe. So, until he can prove it he should leave the speculation to the red tops As an aside, supplements can be good. Case in point, I give my newborn vitamin D supp...

Re: Kimmage running down rugby..
My opinion of the level of discourse and general intelligence on th is forum has taken quite a hit. Blatant BS based on "contacts at a high enough level" apart, the best that anybody can come up with is name calling. So far I haven't read a single post here that gives me a reason to doubt...

Re: Kimmage running down rugby..
LOL, unlike Kimmage, I have first hand knowlege of what I am talking about as regards some substances, and know people at a high enough level who are pretty honest about that sort of thing, also, unlike Kimmage, I dont see a problem with doping in sports, its part of the professional game, we are p...

Re: Kimmage running down rugby..
Kimmage was heavily involved in cycling though and even doped himself, of course he was sure it was going on. This seems to have piqued his interest purely on the back of one former French player who thought it was odd that players were so big. Again, it'd be wrong to say he shouldn't ask questions...

Re: Kimmage running down rugby..
Bernie Mac, This has nothing to do with Mr Kimmage but I'm interested by the 'better endurance of Southern Hemisphere rugby due to the nature of the S15'. What do they mean by the NATURE of the S15? I was in New Zealand last year and went to a few Crusaders games and to my eyes there was damn inten...
