Generally in agreement with selection and happy that neither ROG or DOC are starting.
No basis yet for Mcfadden to be considered a serious option at 12.
Carter will be missed by NZ for all the basics, restarts, goal kicking etc and this has gotta be good news!

Re: Joe Schmidt - A Master at work
Lets not forget Michael Chieka in all of this and give him some well earned credit. The current Leinster team apart from Brad Thorn was essentially assembled by Chieka. The main area of weakness yesterday was the line out and IMHO Toner would have been a better option than either Thorn or probably C...

Re: Ireland v Italy
Agree that SOB is having a poor enough season so far,but that is the problem with Dk he does not make changes until they are forced by circumstances.Earl and Trimble did not have great games either and Zebo or Gilroy might now be worth a run.

Ferris or OB at six and POM at seven.Coughlan at 8.Heaslip on the bench. Toner in for DOC.Best as Captain.DK replacing Bowe.Earls at 1...

Re: Cullen out for up to 8 weeks
Tough on Cullen but he has not reached the same heights as last year and must be close to hanging up the boots.Strange call that he was in the 6N squad for a number of reasons.

Re: My team for 2012 6N. With an eye to the future
Unfortunately O'Malley's form has deteriorated this season and his limitations were shown most notably against a 3rd string Ulster combo and Bath in the HEC

Its unlikely that O'Malley will be even selected for the Wolfkounds,He is not international standard and has not really cut the mustard with Leinster this season!

Re: Bath v Leinster
All one expects is consistency and reward for performance!
O'Malley should start as should Toner and possibly Cronin.
I will leave it up to the JS as to who should be on the bench but I don't think that Nacewa and
Darce are up to their normal standard this season.

Re: Montpellier v Leinster
Well deserved 2 Points.
MOTM performance by Sexton
great cameo by Cronin.
Browne was a liability and should have been removed in the first half.

Re: Junior World Cup Squad
Very disapppointing by the Irish. One win out of five and pretty comprehensively beaten in all games.
It appears that the appointment of Ruddock has not been such an inspired move.....
