Re: Croke Park to host major Leinster rugby games
I don't think people are getting irritated by a game in Kilkenny... I certainly amn't. It's the general f%~king around... Playing a URC QF in Croke Park for example is nuts. That should be moved somewhere different. Likewise the question of what the plan actually is... One report says one game not ...

Re: Zebre v Leinster Sat 23 March KO 7:35pm RTE2
Not mentioned much here, but I thought our defence was incredibly good. I never really felt like Zebre were going to breach our defensive line, and only got any joy when we were down to 14. I know it will be tougher against better teams, but we were green enough and still looked very cohesive withou...

Re: Rumour Mill
Virtually all PONI players are offered to Munster first, so I’d imagine we were never in the picture for Jager, interested or not.propertymad wrote:Makes not going after Jager, seem like a miscalculation now tbh

Leinster Academy 23-24
That seems outlandishly heavy for an 18 year old. Have we ever had an Irish lock anywhere near that heavy?Lock9541 wrote:Spicer weighs 145kg not 130kg

Re: Bath v Leinster - 15 March 19.45
These friendlies really are win / win for everyone involved. We've lost a couple of opportunities to look at the wider squad in games during the Six Nations, we're a big draw for the fanbase of any club in Europe and Bath need the money. Presumably with tickets at a high enough price point, Bath are...

Re: Cardiff Away, March 2nd
Milne having some big involvements since he came on. Thought he has carried and tackled pretty well and bagged a pair of tries.

Re: Cardiff Away, March 2nd
Some clarity on the process there would be good. Seems like an extremely inconclusive replay to bring the try back there. I know it has probably worked in our favour ultimately, but doesn’t excuse how bad that was.

Yeah true, he won the other one too despite being probably the smallest man on the pitch.

Re: Cardiff Away, March 2nd
Quality under the high ball continues to be a massive problem in this game. Think we’ve lost 7 from 8 now.

I actually don’t think Cardiff’s second try was a try. Carre drops the ball before grounding it.

Haha yeah was going to comment the same thing. I’m pretty sure that’s the first time he’s exposed a gap like that.

Re: Cardiff Away, March 2nd
Clarkson really looking like he’s turned a corner. Solid enough in the scrum, which is a big improvement from where he was 12 months ago. Making breaks up in midfield and leading the effort in line speed defence. I’m impressed.

We don’t really have anyone good in the air in this side. We’ve lost 4 from 4 in the up and under battle.

Re: Cardiff Away, March 2nd
Flannery rumoured to be also leaving Ulster. They’re basically blaming the whole thing on the La Rochelle match being played behind closed doors, which definitely cost them a lot of money, but with how we bang on about the stability of Irish rugby, you’d like to think we could absorb a single cancel...
