Re: Northampton...
I have to agree that the second half especially wasn't the best from the Saints, but we were being reffed off the park. The Tigs could do anything they wanted at the breakdown and every attack we tried to start got wrongly called back for a forward pass, the worst one being the pass out from Myler t...

Re: tuilagi vs ashton
I don't get this anti ashton thing that some supporters have. OK, take out the silly dive in celebration of scoring a try, something he didn't invent and something that many a player has done before him, what exactly is his crime? In the media he always comes across as a very humble man and is not t...

Re: Northampton interesting facts
There is absolutely nothing to choose from between Digger and Bruce Bruce Bruce. Digger, Northampton born and bread, would run through a brick wall for the cause, Reihana, adopted son of the town, married to a local lass, would side step the wall. Tom Wood is not definitely out. He had a hairl...

Re: Why Leinster will beat Saints by 10 points +
Woods was awarded Premiership player of the season last night and Mujati was second. Last year Ashton won it. Jim Mallinder won DoR of the season which does seem a bit odd as last year we came second in the league and lost the semi and this year we only came 4th! I do find it amazing when people say...

Re: Why Leinster will beat Saints by 10 points +
There is an awful lot of rubbish written here isn't there? I'm in awe of all those posters who know so much about my side as to be fair, I know very little about yours apart from the obvious 'big' names. All this talk of which player is better than their counterpart is stupid. Rugby is a team sport....

Re: Northampton interesting facts
It was nice of ERC to let us have OUR ref for the final! The last time we were in the HEC final, we were challenging for the league as well, only to be beaten by Leicester (which could happen this weekend) We played an Irish side (again similar this time around) We were written off by most hac...

Re: Northampton interesting facts
The Saints were formed by the Rev Samuel Wigg in 1880, who was the curate of The Church of St James in Northampton. Hence why our nicknames are the Saints and lesser used, The Jimmies. People from Northampton are normally called Northamptonians.... or simply 'unlunky' for short!! (I'm not from...

Re: Northampton interesting facts
I'm sure if we had started a thread about Dublin and its surrounding area over on COYS, we wouldn't have run out of things to say on page 5 and then spent the next few pages on some sort of English lesson.

Re: Northampton...
We've had a much easier ride to the final. You can only beat what's in front of you but I'd have chosen Ulster and Perpignan over Leicester and Toulouse any day. Also our group wasn't the hardest in the world so the No.1 seed going into the knock out stages, flattered us somewhat. There are difficie...

Re: Northampton...
I bet you will find it hard to find any pundit that wouldn't put you as favourites.... but an admirable attempt to try and grab the underdogs label. We have some promising young players, some of which have been on the International stage but most have never experienced an atmosphere that the Millenn...

Not only does Northants have Silverstone within it's boarders, but also Santa Pod, the home of European Drag racing.... (and I don't mean men dressed as ladies!) as well as Rockingham Oval, Europe's fastest racing circuit!

Re: Northampton...
You are right, our first half performance was indeed shocking, but the score was dragged back to 15-24 before any substitutions were made. However, you are simply repeating the wrong views spouted by Stuart Barnes that our back up players are no good. At Christmas we were sitting top of the league, ...
