I think Thornbury could do a job for a season or two while waiting for the others to come good. My only concern would be his injury profile.

Surprised your getting rid of McElroy I thought he was an able deputy when called upon. Burke seems to have fallen off the radar completely.

What do people think of Wilkins? Talking to Connacht supporters there seems to be a huge dissatisfaction with him. I haven't seen enough of Connacht this season to rate him either way but the fans (online anyway) seem unhappy with him.

While I agree that a team from one of those countries would be great and would open up a new market to the URC. The Cheetah's are essentially turn key. They could come in tomorrow with all the infrastructure already in place and be competitive very fast. A a Spanish / Portuguese / Georgian / Romania...

Yeah he's 32 and on his last payday. France for 2 years and financial security sound like a nice idea.

McCloskey in talks with Bayonne apparently. Interestingly they would have to buy out a year of the contract. Also Ulster are rumoured to be in talks with Werner Kok of the Sharks which strikes me as a weird signing.

Agreed. So much goes through Tuipolotu. Scotland have a good team but not squad this will hurt them a lot.

If Wales fold a team what do people think of another SA Team joining the URC? The Cheetah's would be a good addition.
