Re: Irish U20s 2024
Hope the new front row does well. There was a lot of criticism last game about them so hopefully it's been looked at and we get a reaction.

Re: Ulster 2023/24
So according to the rumours going around the Ulster boards some folks in Ulster who know McCall asked him if he was interested and he made it clear he had no interest in coming back in any professional capacity. Also according to the boards the following players are up for contract this year. The on...

Re: Ulster 2023/24
by Flash Gordon It's both I think. Their schools system, coaching and connection to what the professional team want to do in terms of playing and coaching isn't nearly as strong as ours and then as you say, when talent comes through they don't manage it well. Stockdale and Larmour are pretty good e...

Re: 6 Nations 2024
by artaneboy Not a bad side- but it’s not really an “Emerging Ireland” side: Ross Byrne, Connors, Moore, Stockdale, Deegan- not to even include indisputable veteran Henderson, are well established players- even multiple capped internationals. It’s an “Alternative Ireland”. I take your point. Honest...

I asked before but now seems as good as time as any. If there was a Ireland A/Emerging Ireland team playing this week who would you have in the squad? Here is mine: 15. Ciaran Frawley 14. Tom O'Brien 13. Antoine Frisch 12. Cathal Forde 11.Jacob Stockdale 10. Ross Byrne 9. Caolin Blade 8. Max Deegan ...

Lynagh apparently straight into the Italian squad. I wonder will Gallagher be close behind?by neill_m
Matt Gallagher confirmed at Benetton, 3 year deal. Italian qualified via a grandparent on his mother's side.
Louis Lynagh of course was confirmed earlier in the week.

Was thinking the same. He was always a smart cookieby ronk
He has a really good job, he might be priced well out of the market for a junior coach. And he might not really want the lifestyle and pressure.

by ronk He's 30 and Connacht don't pay well. If he has an offer in Munster but not in Connacht, especially if it's a 2 year deal, then it's an easy move. Munster like centres, especially experienced 16st+ ones who didn't learn the game in Munster. Daly wore 22 mostly last year, he was outhalf cover...

Interesting statistics. Sometimes I forget how young most of the players are. Still though Connacht should be making arrangements for these guys to get more gametime.
