The irrepressible Jordi Murphy might be in the running also.

Re: Aviva Premiership: something exciting happens
It seems very harsh, it took me a few goes to actually see the incident. Looked like Kockott was being a knob then feigned injury, he was up pretty sprightly moments later. Not sure if I would call it a tip tackle either (from that angle anyway it is unclear). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jVWO9T...

Re: Munster 2017 -2018
Clearly a negative for Leinster but this move has the potential to be enormously positive for Carbery, Munster and Ireland. Be nice to see a repeat of this with Sexton getting an earful this time. Would be good alright, then when Johnny is clearly the inferior player he could do this https://www.yo...

Re: Pre-Season 2018/19
Newcastle highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAyo0F0p7Qo&t=15s Thanks for posting. Looks like Leinster were practicing defending fast ruck ball over multiple phases, nobody hit a ruck once and even the tackler was releasing faster then he had to, it had to be under instruction. Watchin...

Re: Summer tour to Australia
I am a bit on the fence about the Folau thing. He got a yellow I don't think a citing and a ban was warranted. When you see the All Black prop allowed assault someone in the first test against France and them deem it to be only a red card offence (after the event not even a yellow one at the time) I...

Re: Summer tour to Australia
I mentioned it live here during the game that Phil Kearns had made a "potato" joke on Aussie TV. Seems like that was picked up and RugbyPass have a video about it. I really don't care what Kearns thinks but it is interesting how incidents like this are viewed. If Kearns made a similar jok...

Re: Summer tour to Australia
I looked back at the game again yesterday. It was a great game of rugby to watch even on second viewing. I have no problems with the two Irish sinbins, I heard it mentioned (not here) that the Australian maul was over the line when Healy sacked it so not even a penalty but he clearly comes in from t...

Re: Leinster's Halfback Options going forward
I don't know if Johnston is good enough Munster never play him, he certainly got talked up. They played the guys you say are definitely not good enough ie Keatley and Hanrahan. Two years ago Leinster went into the season with Sexton and Byrne and Carbery. Very, very callow but with a remit of getti...

Re: Leinster's Halfback Options going forward
And it is not the first time they have chosen to not play young players and now they know they never have to. Is Johnston good enough? Surely if he can't get ahead of Keatley then he can't be the answer to the international 10 situation. He's younger than Joey is too don't forget. I wouldn't expect...

Re: Leinster's Halfback Options going forward
Jesus, it's gone mad in here altogether. The simple fact is that there are 3 OHs on tour with Ireland at the moment. All 3 are in a single province. That couldn't last. The IRFU wanted Joey to move to Ulster, but when he wasn't biting on that one and Munster threw their hat in the ring I'm sure the...

And another absolute scorcher from Conroy.
Ireland ahead 21-19 last play of the game and they win. Brilliant.

Re: Leinster's Halfback Options going forward
I get that perspective RTB but have a feeling that the persuasion tactics that were used were more "sorry Joey, looks like I'm going to have to start picking Ross Byrne because he's been in the ten shirt, wouldn't that be awful for you?" more so than "if you get more game time your g...

Re: Leinster's Halfback Options going forward
Right the damage is done, we can't do anything about it. But what about giving Leinster something? We're in the market for a centre and could use a hooker - what about JJ Hanrahan? He can play centre, he is a good player, he's just playing at a mediocre province, in an average system at best, with ...

Re: Joe Tomane
My initial reaction a couple of weeks ago when it was rumoured was that it would be a good fit based solely on what Tomane would bring to games which is obviously his skillset but also his effort. The effort bit is based off seeing him play against us in some beaten up Montpellier teams but he alway...

Re: Ulster 2018-2019
Payne was a favourite non Leinster player of mine. He managed to plug the BOD sized hole in the Irish team with little fuss. It is disappointing the way he has had to retire, I always thought he could have gone on for years because his game was never dependent on pace more so intelligence and skill....
