Re: Ulster 2018-2019
Some speculation elsewhere that this post by Zebo is him saying he was racially abused: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bsi6SXMhHyP/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=3ptwgal2u305 From what I've heard from Ulster fans all he got was panto boos and chants of who ate all the pies because of how he act...

Re: Aviva Premiership: something exciting happens
Prem Rugby have agreed sale of 27% of their Company to CVC for Stg£200. Limited details but strange deal. Usually you only sell a % below that which can block a takeover (c.26.4%), or you do a deal for a stake of roughly 49%, with a premium for going over 51%. No details, so hard to tell. Plenty of...

A: Before The Flood drowned all the dinosaurs! Unfortunately it hasn't drowned them all yet and we have a couple of matches since. It was 11th January 2004 Fantastic match , lashed all afternoon , Ulster stuffed a strong Tigers side !. We won't mention the return humping the following week. Don't r...

The rising cost of the proposed new national childrens hospital. It should be named the Monopoly Money Childrens Hospital. Those buildings never come in on price, they seem to plan them without actually talking to senior staff who know what is needed then as the build goes bits are added on, then a...

Re: Ulster 2018-2019
Team seems to have come together a lot better in past few weeks, McFarland seems to have forwards going well as a unit and Paynes defensive system also is starting to shape up.
We don't have massive cover though in any positions and all could go rapidly downhill with a few injuries to key players

I see Nagle has been declared fit for this weekend, and also Dalton for the bench
So starting locks will probably be Treadwell and Nagle, Dalton bench and they will have to stay fit for quite a few matches.

Re: Ulster 2018-2019
With Henderson out injured and a rack of other forwards could Ulster make the argument for a medical joker? I know they got Nagle but if they are to qualify for the european cup getting a big bruiser saffer or someone on a short-term contract would be a good thing. We don't have the cash to pay one...

Re: Draw for H Cup / Champions Cup 2019
Sarries haven't played ko games at big grounds for a few years now. All their home quarter-finals have been played at their home ground, while their last home semi-final was played at Reading (2016). Yeah there's a reason for that - they would like not to be outnumbered by away fans - or have a hal...

Here's a piece that all of the Red Hand supporters, and even @rooster of this forum, may enjoy. A decent, no excellent, analysis of how McFarland has turned the ship around in double-quick time. Great bit of writing and even better analysis: https://dementedmole.com/2018/12/18/showdown-at-ravenhill...

Re: European Champions Cup [Most Improved]
18 points usually gets you qualified. On that basis Ulster need a five pointer against Scarlets (doable) and then a minor miracle to pick up another four points from somewhere. That home game with Racing is going to be a white knuckle affair for both teams. Their main hope lies in the fact that the...

Re: European Champions Cup [Most Improved]
I don't see Ulster going any further than the group stages tbh. Didn't see the game on Friday but I can't see them winning their 3 remaining games, I think they'll be doing well to get 2 wins and that won't be enough IMO. 18 points usually gets you qualified. Zebo is a dick. I think Schmidt will be watching that and quietly thinking 'I was right'. (He'll also probably be looking at his defensive performance and thinking the same, but that's another story.) All well and good profusely apologising for doing something, but he still did it. Wonder is there ...
