Re: Leinster v Treviso, Sat 15.00
Jordi Murphy turned 25 in April 8 seems his best position, but his versatility is useful in lesser league games Yup but if he is out starting 7 against a serious team we are in trouble based on his performances there overall. That's not being negative, it's being realisitic. Jordi has put in excell...

Re: Leinster v Treviso, Sat 15.00
Treviso were loading up on the loosehead side and driving across. Our scrum stabilised once the ref pinged their loosehead a couple of times. It's nearly SOP for loosehead to drive across the first couple of scrums to see what the ref is like.

Re: Leinster v Treviso, Sat 15.00
Imagine what such drop in attendance means in cold hard cash? Leinster need to start getting more bums on seats fast!!!!!!!!! 4568 * 14 games * €20 (avg) is just north of €1.25m, a huge chunk of change. The attendances this year have been poor. I reckon the Average is higher than €20 - for a game l...

Re: Rumour Mill
+1. I wonder is there any nuclear button in Leinster Rugby where Mick is thinking "f%~k this, lets take this private and see what the IRFU can do about it" And how exactly would we fund ourselves? Well, as I understand it we largely do other than for the small number of central contracts....

Re: Rumour Mill
Jesus the Nucifora bashing on here is crazy. He's not shafting the provinces for the benefit of the national team. He's making sure that talent is getting spread throughout the country which should improve the provinces generally and that will feed into the national side. That Leinster develop more...

Re: Rumour Mill
the league is poor, whenever leinster have played a good team they've largely struggled to break them down. We are a workman like team with little cutting edge, creativity and unpredictability. Combined with whats going on with Nucifora and Sextons comments regarding the culture of the team it's no...

I'm all for developing young talent. But you have to try and win the league too. If you drift too far in the direction of developing team Ireland players ONLY. Then why should any of us stump up cash for season tix etc? It's a balance, and for me playing young outhalves for more than half the leagu...

Re: Rumour Mill
As you say Kelleher has had character concerns around him since his schools days, but he isn't the first and wont be the last. Leinster simply don't have the talent coming through the system at the present moment to discard him and it's quite clear that regardless of his character they didn't want ...

Who get's the money for a home semi final in the Pro 12? Is it IRFU, the Pro 12 or province?

and good coaching, which we don't know if we have. We are where you wanted us. You'd rather have MOC and that says enough. Nah, I loved having the two weekends in April off - gave me time to catch up on my quilting.[/quote] You had the weekends off largely due to the fact that we ended up in a drea...

Re: Rumour Mill
My point is give the lad a chance. We are supporters, we support. If he doesn't cut it then we will know soon enough. I've coached enough lads who I thought would never make a player, something clicked a switch and next they are week in week out starters. Lower level and Youths I'll grant you but ma...

Re: Rumour Mill
Valur for money? Flanagan would cost a lot more to sit on the bench / in the Squad than Nagle. On average, a second-row's most productive 5 year span are from 28 - 33 i.e. most games per season. If Flanagan turns into a regular tight-head lock, he will be a valuable acquisition for Sarries. Flanaga...

Re: Leinster vs Edinburgh, Friday 15th April
I don't think that there has been a big slide in Ferg's performance, I have to say. I think he's pretty much the same player he has been for the last three or four years: he's a guy who gets the most out of his abilities, a really competitive animal and a guy who his team-mates value a hell of a lo...

Re: Leinster vs Edinburgh, Friday 15th April
Their first try? He has two men and nearly 40 metres width of pitch to cover - he has to do something, but the reality is that they are going to score unless they screw up no matter what the defender does. He holds off, then it goes through the hands and they score, if he shoots up, then the pass g...
