Re: Jordi Barrett to sign for Leinster
It is a remarkable vote of confidence in the players, coaches and the rugby culture of our Club, Leinster, that Jordie Barrett chose to spend his unique six-months sabbatical , with us. He had many options and I am delighted he decided to join Leinster and hope that he enjoys his time with us as muc...

Re: Leinster v La Rochelle Saturday 13th April 2024 at 5.30pm RTE2
Doris had his legs taken from under him. Happened on the far side of the ruck so I can understand that the picture didn't look good. One of Jenkins penalties was manufactured when he was cleared out onto the ball. Some of that was balanced by calls against them. I thought our discipline was general...

Re: European Champions Cup 23/24
Watching the Saint v Bulls game from Saturday evening, I was struck that it was for all the world a First Squad versus a Combined 2nd / Under 20 Squad who had travelled on myriad routes, with minimal training, to make the fixture. There was a great audience in Franklyn Gardens to appreciate the game...

Re: Leinster v Northampton Saints - EPCR Semi-Final Croke Park 4th May
EPCR instruct on pricing and allocate tickets to each Club for sale / distribution. Historically, it has been very difficult for Leinster to influence EPCR in pricing policy.

Leinster v Northampton Saints - EPCR Semi-Final Croke Park 4th May
Reviewing the Premiership table and Northampton results in the season thus far, following the World Cup, presents a very interesting picture. Six Clubs have conceded fewer points than the Saints, whilst three have scored more points than them. With ten wins from fourteen games, they lead the table, ...

Re: Leinster v La Rochelle Saturday 13th April 2024 at 5.30pm RTE2
At half-time, I thought that two Leinster players in particular were enjoying their contributions as much as we were enjoying their performances. Both Jordan Larmour and Tadgh Furlong have had recent days where their performances were more peripheral than centre stage and you felt for them as a Lein...

Re: Leinster v La Rochelle Saturday 13th April 2024 at 5.30pm RTE2
Loved, loved, loved yesterday. When you make yourself the jester and court the attention it’s hard to feel sorry for you when things don’t go your way. There of course might be some truth in the possibility of the toll of having to travel to and back from South Africa over the last two weeks having...

Re: Cian Healy - Legend
So Cian will get another chance to overtake RO'G in appearances and possibly contribute to getting us another shot in a final. Certainly no reason yesterday that he won't be the best option.

Re: 6 Nations (Women)
Absolutely delighted coming out of Aviva yesterday to hear the 6N's result against Wales. I look forward to watching it on the Player.
Well done to the entire Squad and Management. You deserved a win against Italy based on performance and it's great to finally get back on track.

A brilliant performance and a well-deserved and definitely much sought-after win for the lads. They should be really proud – they showed the best of themselves today. Cannot wait to watch it again! Hear, hear. I'm halfway through a re-watch having been to the game yesterday and it was actually bett...

Re: Ulster 2023/24
Murphy has a very serious challenge on his hands. Nothing like the necessary physicality he needs up front and pace alone isn't enough at the back. Doak certainly doesn't seem the answer at 10.

Re: Leinster v La Rochelle Saturday 13th April 2024 at 5.30pm RTE2
As I look out my window at my whirly-gig washing line loaded with carefully-pinned duvets and sheets revolving to all points of the compass, it is evident that the strong, swirling, sou-westerlies beloved of off-shore Irish sailors, will dominate our weather today, right into the evening, if the for...

With only a layman's understanding of how Betting Markets work, the very limited reaction of those markets to the announcement of the LAR team surprised me. The omission or unavailability of Wardi, Bougarit, Colombe and particularly Dulin deprive LAR of very important elements of the team that defea...

Re: Leinster v La Rochelle Saturday 13th April 2024 at 5.30pm RTE2
Initial Met Eireann forecast for Sat afternoon is for strong south-westerly winds driving showers, some of them heavy. After rain on Friday, morning and afternoon, Sat morning will be showery with blustery SW winds. A similar, but less wet, version of the conditions we played them in last December. ...

Re: Leinster v La Rochelle Saturday 13th April 2024 at 5.30pm RTE2
It’s a rugby game between two excellent teams. We could win or we could lose. I’d make them marginal favourites going into it after the last 4 games and with Ryan being out. It’d be the equivalent of playing them without Skelton. Their set piece is better than ours which often is the factor which s...
