Re: Ireland v. France Sun 10 March 15.00
Could there be a simple way to card people. You give up 6 penalties (or some specific number)and you get a yellow maybe? If there is an incident of foul play/cynical play that warrants a yellow in its own right then you get the yellow but the penalty is not added towards your card count. It seems t...

I'd say that's why he's been brought in. Plus, Leinster don't have a game so it makes sense to get Byrne into the camp for the week.Twist wrote:Is the addition of Ross Byrne, while retainjng Carty, a sign that they arent sure about Carbery’s fitness?

Re: A whiff of Cordite
It definitely seems as if someone is spinning to the media about a couple of our lads not getting gametime and might be better moving on. Either that or there is a bit of an echo chamber going on. I've heard too many references to Max Deegan not getting gametime for it to be a coincidence. The Time...

Re: Leinster's Back Three options going forward
Lots of talk in the Irish Rugby Shed on FB - based admittedly on one supposedly, according to themselves well-informed source - that Joe is going to start Henshaw at 15 vs the Charioteers. What would Leo, Stuart and Felipe think of that, were it to happen, I wonder... If Leinster can't give him the...

Re: Wasps v Leinster, Jan 20th - 3:15pm
I saw on Instagram that Elliot Daly was on holidays in SA last week. He may have been injured but I couldn't see anything about it, was he just given the week off? If so, that doesn't bode well for how seriously they'll take this weekend. Himself, Hughes, and Le Roux all rumoured to be off in the s...

Re: Leinster's Halfback Options going forward
I'm sure it was a very difficult decision to make. The only thing Leinster can do is to continue to drive for success and make him regret moving, and hopefully down the line he will come back. The big picture in this is that when the world cup comes around, we will be in the position of having exper...

Re: Sneak Peak - RDS Redevelopment Plans
Does anyone know what the €1.9m per match direct spend includes? At a (generous) average of 15k per game that is €126 per person per game. That's a lot of pints and Eddie Rockets.

Re: Summer tour to Australia
The talk around the Pro14 circuit for some time is that John Ryan is possibly the most aggressive i.e. destructive, TH scrumager around. Doesn't have Furlong's all-round game or Porter's raw strength (which is best used in Mauls and lifting). Feek didn't rate Aussie front-row previously (c. 2016) s...

Re: Leinster's Halfback Options going forward
I could think of nowhere I would least like him going. The thought of it makes me physically ill. If he were to go, surely they would have to let one of theirs go. Keatley could then become the first player to be on the books at every province. Maybe Murray could move to Leinster, makes sense to ha...

None of the frontliners have played much recently, there were 3 weeks between the QF and SF and 3 between the SF and final. Compared to the 6N they should be fresh (apart from the 48 hour party)

Brendan Fanning had some good insight into Lancaster's appointment back in 2016 too: "So whatever Lancaster brings to Leinster it's not a track record of success at the highest level. The points of greatest interest for us now are the style of play, the results, how the day-to-day coaching will...

Hoping we'll see just the right amount of yellow!
I'd also like to see the stripes going along the sleeves, they seem to be forward facing stripes on the shoulder on lots of jerseys.

Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
I think we've struggled to sell out any of the semi's we've been involved in in the last number of years so the RDS definitely makes sense. Do Leinster get the profits from the semi or is it run by the Pro 14?

How much is it going to cost to terminate the contract? I would have thought it will involve a hefty payout. He was described as the perfect fit when appointed. If his personality is now being seen as the issue, criticising in public etc, then how rigorous was the process? Welcoming the announcement...

I think Ryan's impact on the team is probably greater, in that the 2nd row was an area of concern in previous seasons. Very hard to argue against Leavy though, he has been superb.

Would Larmour be an option at centre? His footwork is so good and he's great at getting through traffic.
