Re: Munster Away 26/12 19:35 Eir Sport 1
Love this thread - we are having a full blown speculating about what goes into setting up a live TV match and who and what was responsible for it !! In summary: i) We are all pi**ed off we didn't have a match to watch. I sure am, it was two hours of cursing at the ref which I won't get back and whi...

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
Is David Nucifora posting on here under an alias to soften us up before another raid? I think so. He seems to have a love in for Penny moving away from Leinster too, despite him getting loads of game time the last few years. The plan is to start the rumour that Penny is going to Munster, then at th...

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
Very early to be calling Penny potentially world class. I don't think Ireland's problem is the size of our pack (although it wouldn't hurt to have a heavier pack), we were on top of the world in 2018 with a similar sized pack but our players, especially our top performers form fell off a cliff for ...

Re: Leinster Squad 20-21
There's serious bad blood up north about Coetzee leaving and/or the Bulls buying him out before the end of his contract. As an outsider looking in, it's great to see some serious rivalry injected into the Pro16 before a ball has even been kicked! We've already now got a grudge fixture already to lo...

I'm really not understanding this at all. Why did they postpone/cancel the match before the results came back? I find it amazing how many rugby matches are being affected by this in comparison to soccer, which has way, way more players playing twice a week.

It'll be an achievement if we make a semi final this year because there is absolutely no way you can win this tournament with that lineout.

What is it with the provinces and not being able to live stream? Seriously it's time to step into the 2010s.

Re: Tighthead Prop going forward
Conor Nash was 1997 too, but overall a weak group.. Doris/Kelleher/TOB all played a year up for the 20's and were clear standouts. Is Tadhg McElroy still playing professionally? No he was playing with Clontarf last season and with Lansdowne this. Thanks this was all I could find https://www.indepen...

Re: Tighthead Prop going forward
Was a poor u20s side from memory. Exactly what I was thinking. We have only got two players born in 1997 in our squad - Frawley and Larmour. Not a single forward. I think we've got nine from 1996 - James Ryan, Andrew Porter, Max Deegan, Will Connors, Vahk Abdeladze, Hugo Keenan, Jimmy O'Brien, Cono...

Re: Connacht 2019/20/21
If Boyle carries his current hugely impressive form through Christmas and the interpros, then it will be hard for Farrell to leave him out of the Six Nations squad, especially with Deegan and Conan out of the picture and Rhys Ruddock's face not fitting for whatever reason. He'll be a good bag holde...

Re: Leinster A '20-21'
Jack Dunne seems to be getting bigger by the day, he’s the most South African looking second row I’ve ever seen. Soroka is enormous as well, if there wasn’t so much competition then I think he’d break through very quickly. I was thinking the exact same! As soon as I thought "god Dunne is enorm...

Re: Leinster v Northampton 19/12 1PM
The match day 23 from the weekend came through the Montpellier game with no issues and are expected to train as normal this week with Scott Fardy’s knee injury not considered serious. Johnny Sexton was a late withdrawal from the match day 23 against Montpellier as his dead leg tightened after the c...

Re: Pro14 - Sooner SA teams the better
The extent to which the SA teams struggled when they joined the Pro14 is also a really strong indicator of how strong it is. We won't play many worse teams than that Montpellier side. The way people go on about the quality of the pro 14 and big up the other leagues you forget just how bad the mid t...
