Re: Leinster v Leicester - Sat 6 April, 20.00 RTE2
Sorry to hear you have been unwell tigerburnie. I have always enjoyed your balanced posts on here. Leicester, for all its extraordinary successes over the years, has always had a proper bunch of fans who have been far more interested in the game og rugbyvthan in trying to land cheap shots on opposi...

Ruaidhri O’Connor: Leinster have become Europe’s big underachievers – they have to win the Champions Cup this year Ruaidri is jsut re-hashing the same oul shite he did last year. Leinter are the best team in the world and if they fail to win everything they are losers. No mention of how good the Fr...

Re: Leinster vs Bulls, March 29th, 7.35pm
Of course stats matter, it almost feels like some of the commentary is drifting into "it doesn't matter if we miss tackles", it matters and the coaches know it matters when they review. La Rochelle was a bit of a freakshow game where we benefited significantly from horrendous conditions. ...

Re: Leinster vs Bulls, March 29th, 7.35pm
You look at the stats for that game and it's hard to figure out how we won it. I was at the game and it's the wettest rugby match i've ever been to, I was absolutely drowned. The story of the conditions was the 17 turnovers they conceded often in critical positions. For both finals, their ball rete...

Did you not hear that he's in great form this season and should have played in the 6N?propertymad wrote: ↑March 29th, 2024, 7:15 pm Is zebo injured or has he essentially just checked out ?
I read it in the Indo so it must be true.

Re: A whiff of Cordite
Media narrative around Leinster most seasons until now "Leinster are firing from all cylinders, but you have to wonder will they be able to sustain it when they hit the tail end of the season" This season "Leinster aren't really firing on all cylinders yet, you have to wonder will th...

Re: Croke Park to host major Leinster rugby games
Whatever about people's opinion on the venues, the advantage of a season ticket has become more and more marginal over the last number of seasons. Less regular-season games (and more KOs) means the financial advantage is very small, missing one game might nullify it. The paltry allocation of tickets...

Re: Munster 2023/2024 - Return of the Jedi????
I missed the first 20 mins but the scoreboard certainly doesn't reflect the game I saw. Munster must have been brilliant in the first 20 or how did they get so far ahead? One very good try to start off, followed by two intercept tries, the second of which featured some comedy defense from Owen Will...

And yet we continue to see clear-outs from the side of the ruck being routinely ignored by officials.
Drives me mad.

But can he dance? This is the unanswered question. We need to know. According to the official Guinness fantasy rugby stats, Billy Billy didn't touch the ball once v England and only made one tackle - not very impressive stats for someone who played 80 minutes in a back line that ran a lot of ball. ...

Re: 6 Nations 2024
I'd have Ford at 10, Bielle-Biarrey 11, Atonio 3, Itoje 5 and Reffell 7. Honourable mentions to George/Mauvaka 2, Le Garrac 9, Dyer 11 and Kinghorn/Ramos 15. Billy Barry is an exciting player alright. Loved watching him play. But can he dance? This is the unanswered question. We need to know.

Re: Ireland vs Scotland, Saturday, 4.45pm
Yeah- Kelleher was good when he came in. Still have less faith in him throwing than in Dan’s, though. But I think the last couple of matches have hightailed two other players as being very important to us, and their absence not being easily replaced. Obviously- one of those is Hugo Keenan: any team...

Re: Re: Ireland vs Scotland, Saturday, 4.45pm
He said now we all have to go back to watching Leinster mess up at the final hurdle like usual. At least thats what all the provinces other supporters want to see. I’m sure it was tongue in cheek but still….. cheap shot :D As opposed to Ulster being knocked out before they have the opportunity to w...

Re: Ireland vs Scotland, Saturday, 4.45pm
TJs obviously ignoring the offside line.
Ireland have to find a way to take advantage of Scotland being constantly offside.
