Re: La Rochelle v Leinster Sunday 3.15 TNT Sports
Don’t like that team at all. This is the most pessimistic I’ve been for a Leinster game for a long time, hope I’m very wrong. Furlong and Conan will be missed and Harry, Henshaw, and Mike have not been very good this season. Big ask for Connors to perform without minutes built up. Frawley unlucky no...

Re: Leinster v Connacht - 2nd Dec 2023, 7:35pm, RTE Sports, Premier Sports
So who's starting OH next weekend? Sent from my SM-G990B using Tapatalk Despite what i feel about Harry, i think he has to have the start in the next game. We need to know who's taking the reins. Im sure we'd love to win the LAR game, but we can still survive if we dont. So, give him the game and s...

[quote=wixfjord post_id=845976 time=1701249801 user_id=2679] ROG at it again. La Rochelle boss Ronan O'Gara to face a Top 14 disciplinary hearing on 6 December, days before his side's clash with Leinster in the Champions Cup. O'Gara reported by match officials...

Daly allowed Larmour run inside but then Zebo was perfectly positioned to stop Jordan but somehow let him through.offshorerules wrote: ↑November 27th, 2023, 8:45 am Just a point regarding Shane Daly's missed tackle for the Larmour try. If that had been Rob Kearney falling off him like that there would have been uproar.

Re: Leinster v Munster Aviva Sat 6.30
Can anyone confirm if Jacques Nienaber was at the game last night? Stadium camera did point to someone watching on, on several occasions, but wasn't clear to me who it was. World Cup final was over 4 weeks ago whereas La Rochelle is less than 2 weeks away. If Jacques has not booked a flight to Dubl...

[quote=propertymad post_id=845542 time=1700950082 user_id=9430 I also think our 2 captains this evening were entirely ineffective in communicating with the ref and getting him to explain decisions a bit better .... especially at scrum time. You could see Porter ready to explode (and I don't blame hi...

Glad to get the win and to see Jack deliver at 6 but next 2 games will require big improvements. Did not see all the game but Frawley looks to also be one of the few to have done well.

Let’s leave this as
- Porter has been flogged excessively.
- We have promising young props but might need a bit more experience this season if we are to win trophies.
- People should be able to give their viewpoint.
- We all want the best for Leinster.

Re: Scarlets - RDS - Sat 18th Nov 7.35 pm
So our scrum has been the cause of us not winning trophies in the last two seasons has it? When specifically? (Not expecting an answer to this as usual. ) Well if we'd handed Saracens and La Rochelle humiliating destructions in their scrum then we probably would have won those games. Certainl...

Re: Scarlets - RDS - Sat 18th Nov 7.35 pm
If Faz etc al felt strongly different then we'd have heavier props. Ireland won a Grand Slam and beat 2 teams in the Top 5 at the RWC. You can 2nd guess every decision when you're close. We didn't lose in Dublin because we were scrummaged off the park. An extra few kgs wouldn't have made us dominat...

Some serious depth in squad now but Tommy O’Brien, Osborne and Culhane have the ability to challenge for places when everyone available and others such as Boyle, Barron, Penny, Foley progressing well. Harry Byrne could also do very well this season.

Re: RWC 2023 Ireland v NZ
This is our best ever team and there are only 3 other teams who could compete with us, unfortunately we met 2 of them. At this level against NZ, France or South Africa it’s not enough to be good. For example Doris is possibly our best player but was outshone by Savea, our line out was inconsistent a...

Re: ROG "The Special one" on ex-players.
Interesting to hear Shane Horgan and Rob Kearney say on Virgin during the week with Matt Williams and Joe Molloy that O’Gara early in his career made it clear he did not rate David Humphreys and later the same with Sexton and let’s not forget the main reason he was selected by Kidney in 2011 World ...

Re: ROG "The Special one" on ex-players.
Why should ROG care about the peach-like feelings of some Leinster supporters? They aren't his constituency. La Rochelle fans, who are, worship the ground he walks on. If he were Leinster coach and behaved exactly the same way, including the wins, everyone here would worship him too. It’s nothing t...

Re: ROG "The Special one" on ex-players.
O'Connell will be the next coach IMO and honestly would be difficult to critise that decision. He seems an incredible coach and always was a fan of him as a person and a player. O'Gara slagging off the Leinster players and generally being obnoxious would cause serious problems in camp which we real...

Re: RWC 2023 Ireland v NZ
Would expect 2 Southern Hemisphere refs Peyper and O’Keefe or Gardner, and 2 Northern Hemisphere Barnes and Raynal for the 4 Quarter Finals although the young Georgian ref is probably in contention also.
I think it will be Raynal or Peyper.
