Re: Back to back V Clermont
shocked to see healy and reddan playing. henke was one of leinsters better players imo, and healy was not as big as an impact as i had thought he would be. reddan i fear will be the player that gets leinster knocked out of the HC, his slow play and poor decision making will play right into clermont...

Re: Back to back V Clermont
I would beg to differ. The game plan was perfect last week, with a ridicuously low number of balls kicked back for Clermont to use them, and Boss was the right man to implement this kind of play. Our defence was just a little bit too good, and did not falter as the game went on. A little bit of luc...

Re: Munster Thread 2010/2011
munster look set to start with the same team with ryan moving to the bench. bum deal for stringer imo, tol cost us big time, he was really slow and never took control of the pack i am getting really worried now because for once i am a bit confident that we can do a number on a team in the HC, other ...

Re: Munster Thread 2010/2011
Thomas didn't complain. He took a slap and went down. The TJ or ref saw the slap and called it straight away. PO'C was unlucky that he was seen but it should only have been a yellow and draw a line under it. A red was over the top and a suspension would be ridiculous. i never said he did complain, ...

Re: Munster Thread 2010/2011
So defenders of the faith. If somebody slapped you in the mouth the way POC did Thomas, you'd said that's alright Paul and turn the other cheek - My Arse! have you never played rugby? i have recieved many a punch for doing similar and deserved every one of them. i have been lucky to only recieve a ...

Re: Munster Thread 2010/2011
i think it is a much bigger blow for POC than for munster, we will have Donnacha ryan back next weekend, so not a major blow. imo POC would have only played a few mins in each game anyway for the next 2/3 games. gleeson, is playing half an AIL game and what would have been 20 odd mins in 2 other ga...

Re: Nonu to Munster?
Would be a good signing but would have to be at the expense of Tuitupou and/or Mafi. If Munster are going for just one big name signing after the RWC though, it should be someone in the back-row. Wallace and Quinlan are nearing the end of their careers, with the former likely to retire within the n...

Re: Munster Thread 2010/2011
I'm going to go right ahead now and incur the wrath of the turnipstanis and say I wouldn't mind him getting a wee ban(2-4 weeks). I know I'm no doctor but I just don't have any confidence in his fitness. He seems, like all front line Irish players, to have been kind of rushed back into it. Would li...

Re: Nonu to Munster?
If this is true it would mean a munster backline of Stringer/TOL, ROG, Nonu, Tuitupou, Howlett, Earls and Warwick. 1 young promising IQ player(Earls) in the lot. GREAT for Irish rugby! Do think it might be bullshit tho. With that many top level guys angling for contracts from the NZRU there'll be a...

Re: Nonu to Munster?
that would be a great signing. sam was only signed on a 1 year deal, so he was probably only seen as a stop gap replacement, while waiting for someone like nonu. i would also like to see mafi's contract ended at the end of this season, especially with guys like the 2 murphy's, deasy, earls and glees...

will be a good game, but i can see leinster running away with it with 20 mins left. for me, leinster by 16 http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_fm0DMNE_6Jw/TIALT7AodoI/AAAAAAAAAYA/bOMI5hUo--A/s1600/yawn.jpg i have said that before most of yer really tough games including the match last season against clermont...

Re: Munster Thread 2010/2011
Typical ERC, fixing it for Munster ;-) Seriously though, the media are trying to build this weekend's game up but I see Munster winning at a canter. I reckon they'll win the following week too, although that will be more of a battle. i would love your optimism. i am not 100% sure about the win, osp...

Re: Choose your ultimate Irish rugby team
Some of my best friends are fans of the Liiiigggiiinnndsss Twatty...I know it was when you were still crapping in nappies Twatty but your Liiigggiiinnnddd was wont to stamp on heads then whine about it when caught. you call him a serial head stamper? can you tell me 3 of those incidences or even 2?...

Re: What if anything did we learn from the AIs?
I talked about the As specifically. Meeting up with the As isn't the same thing as making an Ireland squad. It's doesn't make any sense to read what I said as including A matches. I did include wider squads because the point still applies. Sexton didn't get a Grand Slam medal even though players li...

who mentioned match day squads? ronk said kidney squad which would include A squad and training squads, as they would be kidney squads? I talked about the As specifically. Re: What if anything did we learn from the AIs?
how did i fail? you said "he(sexton) had already won a HC before being selected for a Kidney squad" which as i have pointed out in fairly good detail above is very untrue. you can try to move the bar on your arguement as usual, but what ever way you chose to look at it, you my friend have...

Re: What if anything did we learn from the AIs?
kidney had sexton starting in the churchill cup when he had wallace (starter for ulster, HC player) and keatley(starter for connacht) even though sexton was not even a definate in the leinster 22 at the time, and only made 2 sub appearances in the HC, 1 of which was a 3 min cameo against leicester....
