Re: London Welsh win appeal
Yeah, I'd forgotten about Sarries plans... the new stadium may have an NW post code but looking on the map, it seems a bugger to get to with the nearest public transport about a mile away! Ah, you're making the mistake that Sarries actually care about their fans!!! One thing I have read this week i...

Re: Cheerleaders
That Leinster Rugby are looking at ways to freshen things up and introduce ideas is no bad thing. It might not work, but with all of the leisure options around these days, some people want more than 80 minutes of good rugby and LR should be credited with acknowledging this and doing something about...

Re: Cheerleaders
There are cheerleaders at Quins. A few years ago you (generally girls!) could turn up at the stoop in the morning, learn the routine and join in at half time. This gave the girls who came along with their families something to do. This has stopped now (which is a bit of a shame), but we still have c...

Re: Connacht Thread 11/12
Scrum half is now the only hole in the Connacht squad. Moore could be the answer if he gets more consistent. Dunno how he went in the uk, but he's got precious little competition, if he has a crack. He was 3rd choice behind Danny Care and Karl Dickson, so he didn't really get a look-in. The odd gam...

Re: London Welsh win appeal
I think the whole thing is a joke. Whether or not they agreed with them, LW signed up to the rules at the start of the season. They finished mid-table. They then didn't win the play-offs (which were for the top 8  ) and whilst eventually they did beat the Pirates, by no way would you say that...

Re: Joe is not the answer to the national team woes
Discovering by accident that JJ Hanrahan is a standout 10 having played him at 12 until Paddy Jackson was withdrawn. Senior player management issues - couldn't keep the Welsh player egos in check . I wouldn't necessarily hold that against Ruddock. There was a fair amount of jealousy that went on an...

Conor O'Shea isn't the answer either
Actually, I think the Ruddock call is a good one.

Re: Wales in Australia
Warburton made of glass again :( At this stage Gatland might have to start thinking of plan B for captain if his captain can only get through 25 minutes a game. It'll be a miracle if he manages to stay fit for the full 6 weeks if he's selected for the Lions. Wales really should have won a match in ...

Re: Lukey Fitz
White elephants were meant to be great to look at, but unaffordable to maintain. That's kind of the point of the metaphor. It didn't mean that white elephants or Thomond parks are cr@p. Just beyond the means of the owner. Do you not think that the essence or commonly understood meaning of the metap...

Mike Brown has had to come home already :( Brian Moore put some perspective on the game in today's paper: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/international/england/9322888/Brian-Moore-theres-no-doubt-how-much-work-needs-to-be-done-with-the-England-team.html Of the touring sides, I think Engl...

Re: Aus 6 v Scotland 9
Scotland were in 12th in the World Rankings is this result enough to jump them up past us? Im pretty bad on the ranking system but I know an away win against a top tier team is quite rewarding. 1(1) NEW ZEALAND 91.43 2(2) AUSTRALIA 85.99 3(3) SOUTH AFRICA 84.34 4(4) ENGLAND 83.62 5(5) WALES 83.32 6...

Re: the end of the HEC?
That's it. If you were a club like the Pirates, would you not welcome a chance to play the HC and rub the noses of the effective closed shop of the AP clubs in it. And as you indicate, I think the French T14 clubs is much less unanimous than believed by some. When alalysed there is very little to t...

Re: Aus 6 v Scotland 9
Raining, rubbish weather. Scotland not brilliant; 6-3 up at half time, let the Aussies in afterwards, who nearly scored, but didn't ground the ball. Most of the 2nd half in Scotland's half / 22. last 5 minutes, Scotland had the ball, up in Oz half, couple of reset scrums (all to Scot), Oz gave away ...

Re: Bored - Lions 2013 squad
I'm going to be contentious here and say that I wouldn't be surprised if PoC doesn't make the Lions next year. I also would (with multi-coloured specs on) choose Care over Youngs. I would take Phillips just because if you take Care / Reddan / Blair / Cusiter they're all quite little scrummie...
