Re: Liverpool Thread
It has to end soon. Please God Please. Just one more weekend and we can forget about this awful campaign. And immerse ourselves in endless (fruitless) transfer rumours. as an aside, how do people feel about Brendan Rodgers? And Raheem Sterling? On balance, I think Rodgers has the right idea - I lik...

Re: NFL
I haven't seen anyone confirm that the lower pressure definitely makes a significant difference. if nothing else, a less inflated ball is supposedly easier for receivers to catch. It's personal preference amongst QBs: a less inflated ball may not generally make a significant difference, but it woul...

Re: NFL
Fair enough, I wondered too..but now I also wonder why MMQB bothered with the piece in that case - it was specifically part of the Deflategate coverage :? It would make sense if the author had an agenda to push. One side of that debate seems to be trying to trivialise the issue and the impact of ba...

Re: NFL
No, each team brings own balls. Brady was one of the QB's who pushed for the rule change That is my understanding, too. As it happens, I think the league provides the (6) place kicking balls for each contest. I'm pretty sure they're supplied already inflated by Wilson, each of them inflated to the ...

Re: NFL
For what it's worth, Monday Morning QuarterBack quoted stats for Brady, home and away, and they were pretty much exactly the same. I'm always open to correction, but my understanding is that the offense provides their own balls for each game - meaning Brady uses Patriots' balls even for away matches

Re: NFL
The NFL announced Monday that Tom Brady has been suspended without pay for four games for violating the NFL policy on the integrity of the game. The team will also be fined $1 million and will forfeit a 2016 first-rounder and 2017 fourth-round selection in the NFL Draft. Brady's agent announced Mon...

Re: NFL
Given that the report says a lot of this with probably at the beginning, I doubt there'll be much action taken here. The investigation was conducted pursuant to the Policy on Integrity of the Game & Enforcement of Competitive Rules. In particular, Section 2 of the Policy provides that: Actual o...

Re: NFL
Deflategate is back! Tom Brady might get a weency slap on the wrists for his part in the affair. "Based on the evidence, it also is our view that it is more probable than not that Tom Brady was at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities of McNally and Jastremski involving the rele...

Re: NFL
Rams draft a running back. Odd decision. By all accounts that guy Gurley will be something really special. It might also be the case that the Rams got the top guy on their board - when you're picking at 10 that's remarkable luck! Gurley is a big bodied runner in the Marshawn Lynch mould. I don't kn...

Re: NFL
Draft Day..... any predictions??? Winston to Tampa seems to be the consensus number 1. Although the Bucs did say that all of his off-field issues hadn't affected their opinion of him in any way - which might just mean they've been gunning for Mariota all along. Unlikely, though, Winston seems more ...

Well that ruined a perfectly good weekend.   Fairly abject performance in the first half alright and it was effectively over 38 seconds in to the second half. I haven't seen much of United this season and any time I had seen them they were rubbish but thought they played really well...

Re: Liverpool Thread
Jammy as the goal was last night, they all count and we'll take the three points gladly. Another clean sheet - Mignolet made some excellent saves, particularly in the first half. We also hit the post late on. Three points each for ourselves, Man Utd and Arsenal. Tottenham's loss will hurt them in th...

Well done Miami for securing the services of Suh
