Total lineout malfunction so far.
Pressure on Kelleher/Toner to get it sorted now.

Re: Pro 14 final vs Ulster, Sept 12th. Live on TG4 & EirSport
It’s finally finals day!
Let’s ate these Nordie feckers without salt.
Expecting our 1-8 to dominate at scrum and lineout and Ross to use quite a bit of tactical kicking to put their back three under pressure.
A robocop style display from JVDF would be most welcome too.

No injury for Cronin seemingly, just not picked.
I wonder is it partly to counteract McGrath/Moore's scrummaging.
He had been playing well pre-lockdown, but to me Cronin is by far the better bench option.

I hope we're planning to give Lowe as much ball in space as possible. Really want to see him running at Lyttle.
Also a few bombs on Lowry/Lyttle has the potential to cause a bit of havoc.

Re: Pro 14 final vs Ulster, Sept 12th. Live on TG4 & EirSport
Jaysus! Nowhere near as confident now seeing those two sides. Cronin & Furlong not on our bench does weaken it a bit. That is definitely an Ulster backline to target physically imo. And I think the starting pack is a big step down on ours too. But bench wise they're strong and are clearly target...

Re: 2nd Row going forward
1. All our academy players are from the same small gene pool - widening that scope is always a positive thing It’s hard to express just how weird a comment that is. It's not remotely weird, in fact, it's something that Leo, Stu and Mick Dawson have all referenced as important - bringing in outside ...

Re: Stash Watch 2020/21
The three broad stripes on the arm and the vertical LEINSTER are straight out of Adidas' late 80s and early 90s design language. I wish they'd go back a decade further and give us more Adidas Originals type stuff Yep some of the tracksuits last year were verging on 'Originals' design, they've gone ...

Interesting to see who Ulster go with in the back three.
Lyttle versus Lowe could be a good match up for us if we can get JL in a bit of space running at him.
Ludik looked uncomfortable defending Van Der Merwe so wouldn't be surprised if he was dropped.

Re: 2nd Row going forward
I think our bigger need for a potential NIQ at the moment isn't in the pack but in the outside backs. With Lowe not IQ and RK/Ferg retiring we're losing a lot of experience there. Someone on here mentioned David Havil'i as a potential recruit before. I think a player of his profile (capped but just ...

Some new training gear -
https://www.lifestylesports.com/ie/leinster-rugby/
Fairly bog standard stuff that's almost the exact same template as Munster.
Not a big fan of the vertical 'LEINSTER' either!
(And yet it's likely I will buy at least two of these bits!)

Re: Leinster v Salarysins
Am I the only one thinking this suspension isnt as big a deal (for this match) as is being made out? Saracens’ game plan was always likely to be heavily pack-oriented. Losing one of their biggest leaders and a world class fly half? It's clearly a huge deal! Would be the equivalent of us losing Sext...

Re: Pro 14 final vs Ulster, Sept 12th. Live on TG4 & EirSport
Ulster lineout is a big weakness imo. They don't tend to compete and none of Treadwell, Carter or AOC are great jumpers and they don't have a good back row jumper really either. We could make a bit of hay there. Same with scrum, we had them going backwards in the last game. Mathewson starting his fi...

Re: Leinster v Salarysins
They're nowhere near the strength of last season in terms of first 15, and absolutely nowhere near the bench strength that they usually have.

Re: Leinster v Salarysins
We've got to be pretty strong favourites for this game now. They're down half the team that started in Newcastle and we've probably gotten stronger since then. Williams, Lozowski, Farrell, Spencer, Kruis, Skelton, Lamositele all not available from their starting side that day, and a host of others l...

Re: Replacing Leinster's older generation over next 12 to 24 months
If Sexton continues to play the way he has been recently he's going to come a cropper against Saracens snd so are Leinster. I sincerely hope that LeoCaster are seeing the warning signs. What you mean showing again that he's a world class 10 by leading his team to victories in two derbies, kicking 9...

Re: Replacing Leinster's older generation over next 12 to 24 months
Healy and Sexton are the only nailed on starters. Toner and Fardy are the unit who rotate with each other. We have depth everywhere. Losing someone like Sexton is never easy. There’s a step down from Healy too but good players. I’m not worried about lock, especially if we get Toner for an extra yea...
