Re: Bath v Leinster Sat 3.15 BT Sports
good away win in manky weather and soggy pitch while not playing at our best. I'll take that. the amount of turnovers by bath..often in key attacking areas is a worry..underhill got most of them if I am not mistaken. Would need to watch it again but I thought the ref blew up really quickly at the b...

Re: Bath v Leinster Sat 3.15 BT Sports
I really don't understand some of the decisions to box kick. Bath 15 was excellent under the high ball, as other posters mentioned, and yet we kept kicking. There was one in the second half (maybe when Larmour got penalised for a tackle in the air) where we kicked from around the Bath 10m. Why hand ...

Re: A whiff of Cordite
Listening to playback of OTB interview and consequent media coverage of BO'D talking about availability of painkillers or other medication during his playing career, is a clear demonstration of how the treatment of, and behaviour around, celebrites differs from that around 'Joe Ordinary'. Everyone ...

Re: Stuart Lancaster joining Leinster
We're only a couple of month into the season and the media are speculating about Lancaster's future. How long will we have to put up with this?
They spent months speculating about Joe and trying to force an answer from him, now that that's done it's just on to someone else

That is a serious strike rate. Wonder how many tries he's had a hand in toomildlyinterested wrote:Still just 20 caps for Lowe in his Leinster career, seems like he has played more than that. 16 tries.

Re: Stuart Lancaster joining Leinster
Yeah he mentioned the RWC '15 (which is important) but didn't think he over did it. I've listened to the second one too, which is an interview with a New Zealander who's an 'expert' in leadership in sports. Stuart brought him in to help out with the English rugby team. He's also worked with multiple...

Re: Stuart Lancaster joining Leinster
Not sure if I should mention here or in the Podcasts thread, but Lancaster is doing a podcast series with Ger Gilroy on Off The Ball about Leadership, and it is well worth a listen. He had previously done an interview with Michael Gervais on his podcast 'Finding Mastery' that gave him the idea to do...

Re: The Province Formerly Known As Munster 2018-19
I will never get my head around JJ being picked at ten all the time. Someone mentioned this on a podcast during the week but I was thinking the same thing, I'd love to know why Conway doesn't play at 15 more. I know Munster have Haley so it makes sense for Conway to be on the wing since he arrived,...

Re: Ireland 2018/2019
So anyway. How did Joey go at 15 with Byrne at 10? I missed it as I had this tremenjous pile of ironing... Ironing is good for the blood. I thought Ross Byrne looked good at 10, but Joey looked very out of practice and uncertain at 15. I thought Ross did a great job at 10. Looked very comfortable a...

Re: Pro 14 - General Thread
Watched Connacht this afternoon. Very good win, but the practice of same country referees needs to stop. It’s not that the referee necessarily did anything wrong, it’s the incredulity of the home commentators. Now far be it from me to tell Robie Kempson about scrummaging, but, as South African tv c...

A few things first. 1) Why android, over say Linux? Android is meant for tablets and phones. There are some laptop varients, but they aren't really that well supported. 2) By PC you definitely mean one that sits on your desk at home? The answers will help with the answers we give you 2) First. PC o...

Re: Ireland 2018/2019
Well as a fan (which makes every Irish player my employee if you think about it) I'm heartened that I now know that it was a neck injury which kept Leavy out on Saturday. I'm just glad Robert Kitson took a stand against the selfish (and rude) hoarding of players personal medical information, it cle...

Re: The Ireland 23 for RWC
Might be a blessing for SOB to get that broken arm. I always thought he needed a sabbatical. I think he should be used as an impact sub during the world cup. Imagine having his impact off the bench for the last 30 minutes. It would also lengthen his career. He pretty much had a sabbatical last year.

Re: Ospreys @ Home Nov. 23rd. Friday 19:35
Jack McGrath, Cronin, Ryan, Rob and Larmour all released back to Leinster. Ryan will be rested this week, but the others could all conceivably be involved against the Ospreys. Things look a bit more positive in that case. We can include Fardy ahead of Lowe (cr@p for Lowe given that his parents are ...

Re: A whiff of Cordite
Ewan McKenna's latest brilliant bit of journalism is to hint (but not actually say it outright of course) that Murray has been absent due to a reason other than the injury...I realise the irony of this comment but would people ever stop giving this Alex Jones style gobshite air time? What about that forward pass call against us in the 2nd half? Oddest call I've seen in a while.

You've left out a sub.
Interesting that there has been no mention of Carbery potential playing 15. Don't think that will ever happen for obvious reasons, but he certainly would be a good option there.
I'd say Ryan will start, just not sure who he'll start ahead of.
