Re: England v 6 Nations Champions 2018 Twickenham March 17

Via Alex Lowes on twitter but the saffer touch judge for Saturday's game reffed an English training session this week does not seem Koshir yeah, ROC has the same story in the Indo. I have no doubt whatsoever that this won't affect the AR on saturday, but for the sake of optics perhaps a quick switc...

Re: England v 6 Nations Champions 2018 Twickenham March 17

In 1972 we beat France and England away but owing to the Wales and Scotland refused (IRA activity I think, Dublin bombs maybe). So RWC23 is not the first time the Welsh and Scots have welched on us. Later in the season England played us in Landsdowne, not something they get much credit for btw. Wou...

Re: Ex-Leinster players

Well, possibly a future, rather than past, Leinster Player, Jerry Sexton, try scorer yesterday for Jersey beating Bristol for the first time this season by 34-38 in Bristol. Mads kicked four converts and two penalties and Bristol got 4 Championship points. But, defeat at home won't please Lam and h...

Re: Jordi packing his bags

But he's not a tighthead. Indeed, it is questionable whether he could be classed as an international standard out-half in 2017. He certainly had played there for SA eight or nine years before but the vast majority of his caps since then were at scrum half as far as I can establish. Despite all the p...

Re: Jordi packing his bags

I think that Schmidt and his useless sidekick need to take a good hard look at Ulster. Now admittedly they bear a large part of the responsibility for the omnishambles the province has become, Has Cummiskey hacked Dave's account - this doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever. Really? I would have t...

Sad news but not unexpected.

Its been a privilege to watch him grow and develop over the years. One of the best we will ever see.

All the best Jamie and thanks for so many wonderful memories.

Jon Snow on for his first cap Fitting as apparently winter is coming. He, and all the other kids put in a good evenings work. Jeez though, McCarty and Frawley look so comfortable at this level, like they have a bag load of starts already. As heartening as it was (I had McCarthy as MOTM for what it'...

England are confident Owen Farrell will be fit to face Scotland on Saturday despite the leg problem which has restricted his ability to train fully over the past 10 days. Farrell has not participated in the squad’s more physical sessions since the hard-fought win over Wales but is expected to prove...

Re: Return of senior players

Kimmages crusade on Heaslips injury was just bizarre. It made me realise that he's not just a man who considers himself the "bold journalist who prints what others don't". He is just a petty man who looks for a fight. He's never got over the fact that he (Kimmage) doped and still wasn't g...

Re: A whiff of Cordite

On the Second Captains podcast yesterday Thornley stated that there was an "incident" before the informal post-match press huddle (the one that now won't be happening anymore) and it nearly didn't go ahead after the France game. He said he wouldn't expand on it for legal reasons. I think ...

Re: Podcasts

Listening to a new slate jam called "Slow Burn". A great 8 part deep dive on the event, the re-election, the public apathy and the lengths the Campaign went to stay in power. So much of which seems eerily relevant today. "You think you know the story, or maybe you don’t. But Watergat...

Re: Leinster v Saracens

It would take just a little imagination to allow fans of multiple codes to see their favorite teams play on the same day. I've seen it in the US, Japan and Korea. Rival sports catering to fans by working together and having staggered kickoffs allowing plenty of time to get from one venue to another...
