I love Balotelli, really do - when he is another clubs problem.

I'm worried that he'll destroy the dressing room, literally. ;)

I'm assuming the signing will be announced to the backdrop of a fireworks display

With Mario? Assume nothing.

I think its fair to say that Liverpool fans are amongst the most loyal, understanding fans in the world. But how on earth are we going to turn a blind eye to whatever he's capable of doing? For gods sake he's going to make Suarez look like a vegan.

Honestly can't think of a worse signing for Liverpool.

Liverpool were phenomenal last season because of their work rate and the pace they played at. Balotelli CAN play that way but he won't be bothered 90% of the time. As talented as he is, I just don't see how he fits in to the team. He's powerful, quick, and can lead the line....but will he actually DO that? I don't think there's a hope, at least not consistently.

Rumour has is that Milan have lined up Jackson Martinez as a replacement, surely he would be a much better option for Liverpool?

Great news, now you have signed him youll leave Bony alone :happy clapper:

I have to say Mario is probably the last player I would have expected Rodgers to sign, hell either be a superstar and get the goals to bring you silver wear

Or hell be a disaster and end up causing major trouble on and off the field.

Sorry to say to all you Liverpool fans the smart money is very much on the later.

£16mm. Given Shane Long cost £12mm they certainly haven't overpaid
I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

Even better. Press reporting that contract will have plenty of out clauses about his behavior on and off the field. Whether he'd sign that is a whole other story.

The question for me is how long will it take before he breaks such a contract? It's a long flight over after all.

Too obvious. You should check out Joe.ie, they have a list of 20 mad things he's done. The guy is either clinically insane, thick or a genius. Pretty sure its a combination of the first two unfortunately.

Think I might have a bet on tonight's game, more than 2 goals is what I am going for. Any thoughts?

Early season games can be hard to predict... but under normal circumstances I reckon that'd be a good bet.

I think there will be goals in it. Odds aren't great though 5/6 on.

On the plus side Sturridge and Sterling are class and I Thought that new Serbian winger looked handy for you when he came on, on the minus side Glen Johnson and Skertel are simply not good enough to be playing week in week out for a championship winning side.

The analysis of Neville and Carragher post match should wake up a few fans to how bad Skrtel is.
Johnson looks like he couldn't be bothered.
