three stars

Post by glenageary »

As we could be the first team to win the Magners/Celtic league 3 times , will we have 3 stars on our shirts next season!

usually 10 times for each star in the league and one star for each european cup.....

Juventus were the first team to do so , they have 2 stars , due to having 20+ league titles.

Brazil have 5 stars for each World cup.

But its an adhoc thing , each country has different "rules" what the stars are for... even clubs apply them differently.

Celtic have 1 star for 1967 European cup but Rangers ahve 5 stars for over 50 league titles...

anyways its a wendyball thing... :)

So this would be like a whole new jersey. Well it would be the old jersey with new bits.

Yay :(

We would nearly have as many stars as the munster lads could put on thier jersey. Jayus talk of putting stars on next years jersey before the playoffs even begin. Why not give the pitch in the RDS a break and just give us the cup now.

We could also put 3 stars on to remind us of some big games we lost in the past: Perpignan, Leicester, Munster...

Good point. Maybe we could put a star on for every game we have won and create some kind of galaxy effect. Have it streaking across the Jersey.

I can see how some might confuse this with Unicorn .....eh ..... stuff but it could be very effective. I'm sure the opposition would also find it intimidating.

I thought RWC winners wear a gold trophy emblem on their countries jerseys during the tournament?

I think stars should only appear on European Cup jerseys. And should only be for the amount of European trophies won...

Therefore, we'd only get one star :(

I'm fairly sure Munster don't have 2 stars on their jerseys and I didn't see one on Leinsters? Am I missing something or is it telling us that they don't give a fudge since tis in the past and they only care about the future? Although I would have liked to see some recognition for the Grand Slam for the Irish team on the jersey... Its not like we've gotten alot of them!

If they tried it in the six nations the English jerseys would look like an American flag!
