This is the most abject performance by a professional Leinster team ever. No clue what to do in any aspect of play. Simply no coherent plan of attack. It's clueless stuff. Defence is beyond worrying at this stage. The idea that we can go through the season without a dedicated defence coach is just plain stupid. Whatever the reasons for this, it should simply not have been allowed to happen. We are going to sink without a trace in all comps this year unless something almost miraculous happens.

Has a team ever been so flattered by a scoreline as we were there?

Positives:
I'm reaching here.....
The game is over
Scrum was decent
Dominic Ryan gets about
Isaac Boss and Jamie Heaslip injected some life into proceedings

Negatives:
Too many to mention but the main ones are....
Another 2nd half collapse
Passive defence
Absolutely no leadership
Disinterested, anonymous or down right poor performance by almost anyone

In fairness we were beaten by a far better team on the day.

It's just unfortunate that the team we were beaten by is the epitome of average.

I was about to say at least Munster are losing as well (in terms of next week) but now I see they're leading 40-29 and already have the BP. :?

Boss came on in the 63rd minute which was about 62 minutes too late. Reddan was utter shìte tonight imho. I haven't seen him pass from the base of a ruck once unless it's a short pop pass. He dances acrosss the line taking 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 steps while all the receivers stand lifeless and flat, then he either has to release to someone who's going to be flattened or turn back in to trouble himself....woeful stuff, painful to watch. Heaslip is also exempt from any criticism, he played like he cared and he wanted to do something about it when he came on.

That was shocking.

Worse than last week.

When is Leo back? Pack was rudderless. Least Jamie fronted up when he came on. Boss was better, but Redden was pretty awful.

Darcy and Drico very poor.

Lineout is a mess.

Jesus, I'm depressed.

Having said all that, I'm glad its Munster next week. Maybe that'll shock them into doing something. (I know I'm reaching!)

Same bland cr@p as last week from Nice Guy Joe!

Chieka would be going at them with a baseball bat at this stage.

Worse than last week.

Defense coach has to be the absolute priority now. Get Les Kiss in for the next few weeks.

We miss Leo more than ever.

Sexton needs to get better quickly.

Candle lit vigil every night for the next week??!!

If we play like that in the H cup we will be destroyed.Forwards did not win enough ball - tiny number of clean lineouts and scrum ball when we got it was messy.
There seemed to be no zip at all in backs or forwards and no answers when they opened up the game and ran at us .
On the plus side Boss was hungry and lifted the energy level when he came on,Luke had a few half decent passages of play and Heaslip was all over the pitch as usual. Most of the other big name players looked like they were out for a warm up game and the new guys you would be expecting to try to make a name for themselves were anonymous .

Another depressing performance. No point in trying to analyse that. I'm waiting until we play a few games with an outhalf and a full strength team before passing any judgment....
