Ultra Vires wrote:The season ticket holders should be given the most central 13,000 tickets on each side of the ground. Leave the daytrippers in the goal ends and row 98. Then of course all the corporates will be in the premium section and boxes. It would generate a much better atmosphere that way. At the last few games i noticed how the STH's were in pockets all over the stadium and each was trying to getting different songs going and the whole place never seemed to be actually singing in unison. Each pocket of true fans was surrounded by twice as many silent tourists. It fecks up the atmosphere.
That is EXACTLY what happened in the ASM game. I stuck it out in the North because the atmosphere was so good there for the Munster game. Meanwhile, many people decided to move for a better view for the Cup game. Result was pockets of the usual suspects doing their damnedest surrounded by people wondering who this Molly type is... Daytrippers are great, and most welcome... but please give me rowdy daytrippers who will sing.

Speaking of which, someone suggested a singing section. I love it. Must look into seeing if we couldn't get groups to sit together and belt out a few tunes. Also with the possibility of meeting up beforehand to bring on and new/revived songs.

Back to the topic: Lansdowne... is OUR field. If we can sort the ticketing out we'll be cushty.
Be there, be blue! Sing loud and true! (Drink pint... or eight...) Diddlydoo!

I fear this may have been too much for him and he's in a catatonic state. But I'm sure he'll land on his feet.
