Simple...buy Leo's book or don't.
I will.
True. I just think a huge amount of the material in a lot of these books are regurgitated newspaper and TV interviews. That's why 'foreign' books, I feel, are more interesting, because there's so much of it you would never have known before. I'd also be sceptical about disclosing everything I wanted to say until I was retired because there must be people who have pissed him off (and all sports stars) at some point and it must be difficult to really throw them under the bus (especially if it was an Irish person) while you're still playing. If he wants to throw Dean Richards under the bus, then great.Slipper1 wrote:I'm looking forward to getting it, in fact I added it to my Santa list this morning.
Two time winning HEC captain, part of the "golden" team in recent Leinster times, multi medal winning time in the UK & he's been through a number of top coaches. There has to be some really good insights into how his mind and the team works.
Leo is not one to blow his own trumpet, I'd say if you asked 100 people on Grafton St to name the Leinster Captain at least 50% would say BOD; so given he doesn't say much on a normal basis, if he decides he has something to say now I'd guess its pretty decent.
As an aside, if anyone reads his book, can you tell me if it is good or OK, worth buying etc. I would be interested to know Cullen's take on rejoinging Leinster. If he felt it was a good move; did he do it for Irish recognition or to be a Leinsterman again; did he ever doubt the decision because we were vilified in the press for so long (up until CP 2009); and what was it like to captain Leinster against Leicester etc. I hope he touches on these. Thanks
