Yeah I was questioning that myself.

Just seemed to automatically get placed there. Unless off camera McGrath had already oicked out the "1" ball.
Thought that as well. Not complaining though!

Much rather get Clermont in the pool stages then having to make a trip to France later in the tournament. Pretty happy with the draw all round.

I know what they say about certain French teams not caring about Europe but for the two in Pool 6 it would be rude not to. Cardiff and Sale there for the taking.

It's because Munster have to get an English team and a French team and there no way to get both otherwise

Hopefully they'll get a manky wet windy night in Galway and get eaten alive by Elwood's lads. Can't see Harlequins bottling it there two years in a row though

Going by last year it'll be well into July before we get confirmed dates. It was the 18th or 19th last year I think.

Kinda sick about the draw as there's two great trips Llanelli and Clermont and one potentially great trip to Exeter and as things stand won't be going to any cause of extreme brokeness! :(

Two nice roadtrips from my Cardiff base!

Scarlets is always great craic and Exeter is a great place plus seem like great rugby folk!

It wouldn't be the HCup if we didn't our yellow submarine friends!

Happy enough with that draw. It would be great if we could organise a march to the stadium with the Clermont fans when we play them, maybe from the RDS down to Lansdowne. I guess we would want that game to be played in December.

Say that will definitely be the December game at the Aviva again alright.

Pool 3: Biarritz Olympique, Harlequins, Connacht Rugby, Zebre

1 second best qualifier coming from this group anyway!
Saturday 23rd May 2009 - Number 1
Saturday 21st May 2011 - Brace
Saturday 19th May 2012 - Hatrick!

If we are not playing that day will move heaven and earth to get to this game ( Connacht v BO ), picked Ulster v Leicester for the same reason last season. Hope Connacht knock seven bell's out of them.

Hopefully we'll see Cardiff drop from Tier 1 this season. They're on 20 and going to lose 7. Clermont and ulster are on 18 and 17 (respectively) and are both only going to drop 2... A good season from either could see them jump up.

Happy with our group, Clermont means we will stay focussed and on our toes. Fully expect to be the winner over the 2 ties with them. Scarletts will be tough away, Exeter should be fun. Home QF deffo on the cards.

Turnips get a handy group again, they should get out of theirs but doubt they'll get near a semi final. Ulster should get out of theirs and Biarritz enter new territory by playing an Italian team.
However, fat Serge still won't be smiling come May.
