Assuming Reddan is kept in the international squad, should mean a fair bit of game time for McGrath next season. A chance for him to prove himself better than Boss.

Knock-on effect should also see exposure for someone like Nick McCarthy at BIC level.

Andy Powell moving to Dragons, good pick up, would have liked to see the god squad pick him up, with Hendo presumably moving full time to lock and Ferris done, they are light at 8/6.

What happens if someone gets injured? 3 senior scrum halves isn't ideal.. especially with reddan being with Ireland so much

Is it confirmed?

Could it be a loan deal? A 1 year loan type deal would be ideal.
His Leinster contract is up next year anyway, so loan deal or not he would be out of contract next season.

Not officially confirmed yet.
I was right! This loan deal is pretty much ideal if he can get some good amount of gametime under his belt

he is still out of contract at the end of the season, will he be more inclined to sign with Connacht or Leinster after his loan deal? more than likely Connacht if he manages to get much more gametime there..

....and then they can loan him to us if he has improved sufficiently and we can sign him on a contract again in three years time. Simples.

Why not? Every pack needs a lunatic/brainless meathead/bosh merchant and he happens to be all three, plus, it would be a fun change from all the pious Afrikanners they are signing.

Ulster have reached their NIQ quota plus they hardly need another brainless bosher, they already have Nick Williams.

Go and have a look at himself and his wife's twitter pages/google him...he's not a good signing for anyone.

I think Nick Williams would be insulted by the comparison. Of course there are paramecium who would be insulted by being compared intellectually to Andy Powell.

Powell probably counts as the least inspiring signing from Rugby League since Johnny Hepworth

The 3 senior scrumhalves probably enough unless theres an injury crisis but you can say that about almost any position
