Re: ZK on the way here
2 years, approx 250k.
TERRIBLE SIGNING
TERRIBLE SIGNING
Re: ZK on the way here
Jesus, why? Did we scour the planet for a worse defensive full back to make Rob look good or something?
Re: ZK on the way here
He's Leinster now so lets see how he goes. Hopefully he responds well to a new set up and impresses.

Re: ZK on the way here
I'll give him the benefit of doubt. Hope he works out and turns out to be a super signing.
But we have had no "good" imports since Isa.
Brad thorn I don't consider - really only a temporary play to fill a hole, great spell here but not long enough.
I know it's a hard market to compete in but regardless ZK is about as big as it gets for non French euros. Who looks after this, easterbunny?

Look out Itchy, he's Irish
Re: ZK on the way here
250k just because he's a Bok. Terrible attitude. So much for our shrewd signings....
Re: ZK on the way here
Also he won't be here until November. So we're paying 250k for half a season, great...
Re: ZK on the way here
It's hard to argue with joe but he would literally have been my last choice of the players being linked with us. Think this is going to be a terrible mess for us and we'll be stuck for 2 years with a useless NIQ. Reminds me of Cullen and Munster except Cullen was once a decent player. Hate to be pesimistic but well be going nowhere fast with signings like that

I am happy unless proven otherwise
If he comes here with the right attitute, we should appreciate what he can bring with the right attitude
Les chances que Sexton vienne en France sont infimes

Re: ZK on the way here
Shocking signing.Rejoicing Saffers on twitter back this up, we have replaced a Ferrari with a Renault. What is going on in Leinster rugby? We have had no top class players signing permanent deals in the past two years, yet we can blow 250k on a rubbish full back, a position we have no worries about.

Re: ZK on the way here
I don't know, with Leinster the success of an import often has an inverse relationship with our expectations.
Ollie Le Roux was supposedly a fat, ageing ex-Springbok out for a final pay packet, and he turned out to be a revelation (although with the exception of the "out for a final pay packet" bit, all of those negative slights were still true!)
CJ was a world-cup winning prop, and that rare thing, a seemingly complete tighthead - he could scrummage very effectively, he was a big, big unit but he also had pace in the loose (evidenced by 3 tries from the half-way line in the Super 14) and very soft hands. He was also very experienced without being old. What could go wrong? In the event, he was a complete flop relative to expectation and was realeased a year early from his contract. You can use the big toe as an excuse, but to be fair, even when fit he didnt look great.
Think of Stan Wright, Shaun Berne and even Richardt Strauss to a degree. All men who got an underwhelming reaction at best to being signed (ok, difference here being they weren't "marquee signings"), but the point stands that they ended up being very good. The likes of CJ, Owen Finnegan and even big Juan Gomez arrived with fanfare but ended up being really shite.
Moral of the story is that we just don't know. He could well be brilliant.

Re: ZK on the way here
Also, he's going to be playing in pro12. He'll likely rip it up there. Top end Heino will be the question mark.
