Leinster vs Munster March 29th
6 nations will be over and our friends from the south will be visiting the aviva to try and beat us in Dublin for the first time since the 08/09 season.
Will be a big game in determining who finishes 1st in the Rabo this season.

Oh dear, excuse me, that's the Leinster team you posted there. I should have read the thread title.

Re: Leinster vs Munster March 29th
I wouldn't be too cocky ahead of this one. We still have a lot to prove this season. Those two games in a row will be season defining and I wouldn't take either of them lightly.
I expect us to beat Munster at home but they've improved an awful lot this season, so it will be a tough game. There's the trade off of 6 nations exertion too. Does it work in our favour to have players sharp to the extent of international tempo rugby, or do the bumps and bruises over a 6 nations campaign count against us when playing fresher opponents? I think at this point in the season the match sharpness is an advantage, but you never know. I also think it catches up with you towards the end of the season, so squad management will be important after the Munster and Toulon games if we are going to win anything.
In a perfect world we'd get the win and deny Munster a losing BP, but I'm more nervous about playing them this season than the excitement I used to have in the build up to playing them. I think this game has a big psychological aspect to it too, if we are going to go to Toulon with a winning mentality, we must put in a good performance and get a good result against Munster.

Nah, Ryan's been playing better than Jennings of late so I chose him.Peg Leg wrote: This is gorey guys team, Jennings is retired and Madigan had his chance
Madigan's form is still not great and therefore I'd go with Gopperth. If Madigan starts the Zebre and plays well, i'd happily go with him.

eg if its say Poite you can hold on to ball all day in your rucks which strengthens Ryan's case, whereas Owens means you can compete so advantage Jennings

I'm thinking about going but I know in my heart the game will be dull but it's BOD's last year.

Re: Leinster vs Munster March 29th
Stopping Armitage et al getting over the ball is going to be a key thing for Leinster to look out for.
For that reason, I don't think you can start Jordi as a 7 in next few games.
It'd be Ryan/Jenno for me. Despite the fact I don't think Jennings is playing well and Ryan has been hot, I think Jenno is our best, smartest bet.
It's unfortunate, but don't see Locky being involved for many games before the end of the year unless Ruddock is injured. Rhys has just been too good.

Hard to argue with that team. Will be a tough match with Munster's players better rested and probably bitter that they had so few players selected for Ireland. We should still win though.

Munster...bitter!!? Sure don't they exist in a continuum of bitterness (and braveness and faithfulness).
The odds are good but the goods are odd.

My point is Murphy isn't a good enough 7 yet to play the QF, so I thin starting Ruddock, Jenno, Heaslip as our backrow here with a view to that starting in Toulon is a good idea.
