I just hope we are not as flat as we were in Toulon.
You would hope we will come out firin and if Ulster are as weak in front row as talked about, then attack their scrum.

Ulster will not be as light as they've been making out. Court and Lutton will both be available. Black may be back and has said he will be back playing shortly. Afoa is probably out.

Overall, Ulster will have a very strong side on the field.

Don't think we will win this one. Lbp will keep the door open for top spot.

I am not confident either. It has nothing to do with which is the stronger team - it is all down to the fact that Ulster are opening the new Ravenhill. With the opening on the night and the connection to Nevin Spense with the education centre in one of the stands Ulster will have a lot of inspiration and a lot more too lose methaphoricly (not sure if this is the right phrase).

LBP the minimum requirement, but I think we'll win. That would take all the pressure off heading into the last round at home to Edinburgh.

Ulster would be a tougher prospect in the play-offs though with players coming back.

If we win, it might put Ulster out of the play-offs altogether.

This is as good as a quarter final for us. The lads will be massively up for this I reckon.

This has the makings of a great game. We have a potential 4 games left in the season so I would expect a strong team to be picked. I cannot see any reason for anybody to be rested between now and the end of the season. They have just had a few days extra rest so should be fine.

I think we have them up front but not by much while they have a bit more of a spark in the backs at the moment. The level of spark will be significantly greater if we play JG.

Healy
Cronin
Ross
Toner
McCarthy
Ruddock
7........
Heaslip
Reddan
Madigan
Fitzgerald/Kirchner
D'Arcy
O'Driscoll
D Kearney
R Kearney

Strauss
McGrath
Moore
Cullen
20........
Boss
Gopperth
Kirchner/Fanning

I think the big call is the 7 and 20 Jerseys out of Jennings, Murphy and D Ryan.

Ryan would have been in 3rd place but I think Toulon took a lot out of Jennings. You could make an argument for any of the 3 to start.

I would be happy to see any 2 of them tbh and I think that says a lot about our depth.

I have picked my own preferences at 2, 9, and 10. But I would be happy enough to see them swapped for the guys I have benching. Same for the props.

This has to be a good thing. We are only missing Ferg and SOB (AFAIK) Let's go up and lash the Gringos out of it.... :)

I can't see Madigan starting this. This is essentially the quarter final - if MOC has admitted that JG is his number one outhalf then there's something seriously wrong with his logic and tactics if he starts Madigan.

Luke and Reddan could return this week. Ferg possibly back for Edinburgh, but more likely for semi-final. SOB not far off a return to full training.

Yeah I reckon he'll get a head start on the preseason but that's it. Won't play a minute of rugby this side of September I'd imagine.
