When contacted by TheScore.ie a Leinster spokesperson said the province had no comment on the reports and could not confirm the signing of Douglas. The spokesperson added that new signings and contracts will be revealed on Tuesday. Leinster coach Matt O’Connor will face the media, at Rosemount, on Monday morning but is not expected to engage in speculation of imminent arrivals.

Did I miss something here, is Kane Douglas definitely confirmed? Is there an official source for that?

No Official source. Just Peter O’Reilly in the London Times.

LEINSTER’S capture of Wallabies’ lock Kane Douglas is a show of strength at a time when fears are growing that the provinces won’t be able to compete with the increased buying power of the bigger French and English clubs.

Terrible if Roux goes and we keep Denton, Roux has a far higher upside, just been unlucky with injuries

Bit of a show reel for Kane Douglas prepared by his agent, makes him look like a cross between Victor Matfield and Sean O'Brien... but show reels always do.. still he's a good signing (Allegedly, until he's confirmed on Tuesday)

There are countless gems going around in the ITM Cup and the Currie Cup to find some really decent young project players. If we're bringing in any backs, I'd like to see long term options explored in one or two (if Roux is going) project players. Seems worth using up your NIQ spots to get long term options who will become IQ, you keep the quality, and sign more project players. At this point we're not going to get any big names, so possibly keep a NIQ slot or two open for after the world cup.

Roux becomes Irish qualified after next season so definitely think we should hold onto him if possible.

All the departing players were presented with a 'farewell cap' last night at the awards ball, Roux wasn't one of those. Make of that what you will.

It's a few tough losses, but I think we're looking to be in good shape to build next year.

Is he not signed up for next season? Because, if not his future must very much be in doubt. I thought it was a two year contract, though.

thescore.ie reporting he is going
maybe MOC hates that much he gets no cap or the plan is to loan him to Gert Smal

We're not going to be missing to much in terms of squad time. Cullen has 15 games, BOD 11. Both big losses but well planned. As we're signing Douglas, we should be stronger at lock, especially if Roux stays.

Jack O'Connell has 133 minutes and is 4th choice loosehead.

If there are no surprises, we're looking at a pretty stable squad for next season.

You can take it as fact that Kane Douglas has signed, dont know about Roux unfortunately, but like most here I would like him to stay. That said he'd really need to step up.

I thought it was 12mts that's why I asked? Worried for the guy.

Is Kichner on a 2 or 3 year deal?
