I've heard MOC claims to be a modern manager but doesn't even own a mobile phone.

Well done sir.
Can I raise a practical question at this point? Are we gonna do "Stonehenge" tomorrow?

Fair play to him, I'd love to not own a mobile phone. Suggested it at home once but got 'the look' from herself.
Do as I do. Keep it turned off.

That's my view. I'd actually be looking at an attack coach. I wonder if its reasonable to suggest that Joe came in to work attack sessions given the Ireland context.....
I don't think so, regardless of the Ireland angle.

I know how I'd feel if my bosses told me they were bringing in my predecessor to take over a large section of my remit because, even though I'm delivering results, I'm not doing so in the manner of the predecessor.

I think we were more getting at him having the head coach role and presumably the backs and defense coach role too. That's a lot for one man to take on, in years gone by we had separate defence, backs, forwards, scrum and skills coaches as well as a head coach. There's no harm in having more assistants.

I'm trying to remember actually, who replaced McQucklin as defence coach or did Joe take that on? Have we had a specific one since? I know we had Gaffney (backs), Gibbes (forwards), Feak (scrum), Murphy (skills) all under Joe, but not sure we had a specific defence coach as well?

Gaffney never worked with Joe, nor did Joe hire a defense coach, he did both jobs himself

Back living in Sydney. Last I heard he was coaching schools rugby over there. Last time I heard anything really of note was when he was red carded playing a veterans tournament a few years ago for giving grief to the referee.
Yeah, he had a bit of a hot head on him. Remember him getting into a scrap at a tag match. Tag FFS!!!! :o

Thanks for the update!
Ive seen more scraps at tag matches than the 15 aside union code.

I think you are confusing your analogy for the one about Nero fiddling while Rome...

Given our poor some of handling has been I find it hard to believe that MOC can play the fiddle....

Surely it's - apart from a Rabo final, an improvement in Leinsters defence and the signing of Kane Douglas what has MOC ever done for us?

I've also noticed the economy has picked up since MOC arrived. Coincidence? Who's to say.
