CHRISTIAN CULLEN is expected to be one of the two players added to the Munster squad prior to today's Heineken Cup deadline.
It has also been suggested that Peter Alatini, capped 17 times in the centre for the All Blacks between 1999 and 2001, and currently based in Japan, could be a target, but Munster sources flatly denied this last night.
Cullen, and Mike Mullins, another candidate, are back in training after missing the season through injury. Leinster, for their part, are not expected to go with Ireland Under 21 out-half Jonathan Sexton as one of their additions.
The other could be wing Gary Brown, although Brendan Burke and James Norton are also in the running.
Meanwhile, Leinster have arranged a friendly against Italian side Petracra Padova for Donnybrook (6.0) on St Patrick's Day, as part of their warm-up for their Heineken Cup quarter-final against Toulouse.
Connacht have also announced that they have agreed a two-year deal with Australian second row and captain Andrew Farley.
