Yeah Heffernan and Loughman in the frame, that would be Dooley, Heffernan and Loughman all 20 or younger and if Moran involved at hooker he would be around 21-22

Not really a surprise.. Loughman could cover LH and TH from the bench.
Furlong's availability this year for the A team could be very limited, if the lads go well they could see a decent amount of A time this year.

Also word around the camp that Jordan Coughlan is in back-row for the game against Munster A. Experiment ended or reaction to loss of Seanie? Watch this space because his physical condition is said to be incredible - fastest guy in the entire squad over 40m and a very useful 105kg!If he has his head on and no longer has to "plan" his way through a game, he could have an awesome impact over the next month playing with the A's.

18 year old LH prop Andrew Porter on the bench now as Dooley is a late pullout. 3 Props in the squad under 20.

Munster A: Johne Murphy; Ronan O'Mahony, Ivan Dineen, Rory Scannell, Luke O'Dea; David Johnston, Cathal Sheridan; Alan Cotter, Kevin O'Byrne, Rory Burke; Donncha O'Callaghan, Sean McCarthy; Shane Buckley, Barry O'Mahony, Jack O'Donoghue (Capt.).

Replacements: Max Abbott, Eusebio Guinazu, John Madigan, Ryan Murphy, Jamie Glynn, Dan Goggin, Alex Wootton.

A 96-capped centrally contracted second-row lining out for Munster A. Money well spent right there. That hammering in the BIC QF last April has obviously left a scar or too.

He's about the only omission from that backline I'd love to see. Looking forward to seeing that back three in action - Kelleher looks a serious prospect and the wingers have gotten frustratingly little game time given the promise they've shown - and I'll have a keen eye on Thornburry. He's not mentioned much, but I think he could potentially be a first teamer in a few years. Big lad too, 6'7" or 8" and not a million miles off 110kg if I recall correctly. Exactly the size unit we could use coming through in the second row. We badly need to produce something there.
jezzer wrote:He will never be the second coming of BOD, because the only thing their game shares is probably the appetite for work around the pitch. He'll hopefully be the first coming of Ringrose.

Even Goreyguy can't complain about the age profile of that team although there is probably some hooker that hasn't been born yet that should be in ahead of Strauss!!!!

Donners isnt centrally contracted anymore although he did lovingly get a 2 year Munster deal last summer

3 3 at half time. Leinster had Sean McCarthy binned at scrum time. Seemed harsh to me, but it's far from the front row I was raised.
