Was very impressed with him when Leinster U-19's beat that Australian schools' team last year. Very powerful carrier. Assume he'll be there or therabouts for Ireland U-20's this season.
Not sure what position he will settle at, long term a 7 i think. Will have a battle to start for Ireland u20 this year.
Marsh just back from a concussion i believe.
Good to see Thornbury isnt injured.

3hrs 30mins late. Wonder how that will affect the Jersey team?

They must have been on the early morning flight out of Jersey and then had 6 hours in Southampton airport because of the delay if they did the usual connection for the Jersey-Dublin route. It's going to be a very long day for them.
There was sweet FA in Southampton airport last time I was there. No idea how you prepare for a rugby match there.

Nice pub down the road in Eastleigh. Could have practice the after match activities down there.

I used to be a regular patron of Southampton airport and always rather liked it. Never any hassles with security and a very nice smoking area after security (such things used to be important to me)
Looks like Dundon got about 40 mins, going by the match report.
Couple of late changes to the team. Gavin Thornbury and Nick Timoney started ahead of Tom Denton and Ben Marshall respectively. Luke McGrath captained the side. David O'Connor and Josh Murphy were added to the bench.

First half ends after 55 mins. 23-3 at half-time. 2 tries for McGrath, 13 points from the boot of Ross Byrne.
Pretty farcical stuff. Brian Byrne was sinbinned for collapsing a maul near the line. Jersey opted for a scrum. There was about 44 minutes on the clock. And so the saga began. Collapsed scrum after collapsed scrum after collapsed scrum, with the ref penalising Leinster every time but not giving the penalty try. He even sinbinned Dooley as well but wouldn't give the PT. To howls of laughter Byrne actually served out his sinbin and came back on for the scrums that hadn't left the area of his original penalty. Eventually the ref gave a penalty to Leinster but really they should have had a PT at some point. Their travelling supporters weren't happy and they had a point in fairness.
On the overall game, was happy enough with the win on a manky night. Jersey were decent enough and had a good pack but just couldn't transfer all their possession into points. McGrath took his two tries very well and Ross Byrne kicked very nicely. Brian Byrne, Josh van der Flier and Ross Molony put in decent shifts in the loose.
