Champions Cup 2015/16

Post by simonokeeffe »

Teams are all in, draw is Wednesday June 16th I believe, top French seed to be decided, league winners top 3 seeds, seeds 4 & 5 from losing league finalists, we cant get another pro12 team til tier 4 drawn (or Munster at all)

Glasgow, Munster, Ospreys, Ulster, Leinster, Scarlets, Treviso

Saracens, Bath, Saints, Leicester, Exeter, Wasps

Toulon, Clermont, Toulouse, Stade Francais, Racing Metro, Oyannax, Bordeaux

Dream draw Bath, Stade, Treviso
Apocalypse draw Saracens, Clermont/Toulon, Wasps

So best case is one of Glasgow, Leicester, Leinster, Oyonnax or possibly Bath, Stade Francais, Leinster, Treviso?

Worst case is Toulon, Saints, Leinster, Bordeaux

We can't be drawn against any other Pro12 team from Tier 1 or Tier 2 but could be drawn with one from Tier 4 (note: if Connacht had made it into Tier 4 we couldn't have been drawn with them)

Yes. It's not good that neither of his easy ones are possible but his hard one is. (ooer)

Bath Toulouse and Treviso is about the best we could get.

Hopefully Toulon and Clermont both end up in tier 1 so we can only get 1 of them. Munster and Ulster could end up in tier 2

I gotta be honest but I never get that het-up over the Euro draw (as long as we're in it). I mean I know from a financial point of view the easier the draw the better chance of going further etc. but if you're good enough you've gotta meet these guys sometime right? Also I won't mind getting Toulan in a full RDS/Aviva. See how they do over here for a change

The Tier1 and 2s will hoping to avoid us I'd imagine.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

Hope Xan is getting over the news Martin Moore is now engaged

Am glad we cant get Exeter, but Leicester or Bath best English team we can hope for, Stade Francais looking very good these days and theyre the best top French team we can hope for

Only plus side of this pig of a draw is those games will be big and easy to sell

Bring it on. Play the best, beat the best, become the best again.

The more "big name" opposition games the better.

Plus one. Means there are more exciting games to look forward to as well and that good for fans and players alike because it raises performance levels.

Couldn't care less who we draw. With O'Connor and Gopperth gone, we can beat anyone.

Theoretically, its possible for us to get Bath, Oyonnax (who could be seeded Teir 2) and Treviso. I think this would be the best draw we could get and would also give us three decent away trips.

He is only 24 so if youre from the same part of Dublin as me you could be under 40, sure Brad Thorn is old enough to be his father

not sure Toulouse the dream draw, new coach could gee them up/shake things up a bit down there

I'd nearly rather Clermont if we dont get Stade Francais
