01. McGrath

16. Cronin
17. Healy
18. Moore

I really feel for Luke, just what is going on there, s he just predisposed to injury?

Just feels like he made a deal at the crossroads for SCT fame and an fear dubh just keeps on jumping up to collect.

If T'eo and Fitz are both out, it'd mean some big calls have to be made. Reid is a wonderful attacking threat but can you trust him at this level? I'm not so sure. I'd be tempted to bring Madser in at 12. It'd also be a huge ask of Ringrose to start at 13 against Wasps. I'd put Ferg in there (not the ideal choice but at least he's some experience in the role) and put Ringrose on the wing with Reid and Zane at 22 and 23.
The sport that unites Catholic, Protestant and dissenter has had its day of days. Pity anybody who can't enjoy it. Some day.

and with Isa nobody seems to give a hoot Rob is out

If Teo and Fitz are both out the real problem is 13, not even sure if McFadden has played 13 in a European game

I think Ringrose has the x factor., so starthim at 13.
The higher you raise the bar the better he looks especially doing the nuts and bolts stuff.
The crucial decision for me is to start with Reddan, with McGrath on the bench.
If Leo has Boss anywhere near this game we could be in trouble.
Reid just isn't up to this level. His defence is too unreliable.
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

Reddan is first choice by a country mile

Not sure theres a solution but Madigan/Reid with Ringrose looks a bit light & soaky in defence

Could be a v different story at European level - he hasn't played at a top level for 2yrs so far has played in matches with missing internationals big gamble but unfortunately probably unavoidable

No gamble there at all for me, I'd trust Isa all day long

Started the three away group games (Montpellier, Glasgow and Bath) at 13 in 2011/12, at home to Scarlets in 2012/13 followed by the qf against Wasps in the Amlin and the final itself against Stade Francais

Think Reid has earned the right to have a go at 12 outside Sexton. Te'o's fitness is crucial to say the least. He didn't look happy at all coming off last night.

Dom Ryan's decision making was, at very best, puzzling. Bit of a cliche but he looks like he's overthinking it.

Ringrose should start, more than likely on the wing. The lad gets through a serious amount of work.

1. McGrath 2. Strauss 3. Ross
4. Toner 5. Triggs
6. Ruddock 7. O'Brien 8. Heaslip
9. Reddan 10. Sexton
11. D Kearney 12. Reid 13. Te'o/ Fitz 14. Ringrose
15. Nacewa

16. Cronin/ Tracy
17. Healy
18. Furlong
19. McCarthy
20. Murphy
21. McGrath
22. Madigan
23. Fitz/ McFadden

I'm curious, what do you think Reid did to earn a start at 12?

And do you see any glaring flaws in his game that might make you reconsider?

Honest questions.

Obviously Reid has a glaring flaw, but that shouldn't be the sole focus picking the team. Like most things on here, it gets blown way out of proportion (like Luke McGraths passing or Cronins throwing and the countless other defining characteristics that have been tagged onto players for years).

The trade off is getting a winning team together and we don't have the luxury of a perfect player for every position. The alternatives are only really Madigan or Fitzgerald. If Fitzgerald is fit, I think he is far more useful on the wing. It's his best position and with Wade on the other wing, I don't think I'd trust the likes of Dave Kearney to do a job on him, just in my own personal opinion, I think Fitz is the much better match up.

Reid has been playing some sublime attacking rugby and is a genuine threat from the centre and is similar to Madigan in many ways with his distribution and running threat, but I think he just edges it and with Sexton seemingly perpetually 50/50 with fitness, I'd rather have Madigan fresh on the bench than having to do big reshuffles in the back-line.

Wasps aren't blessed with world class centres either, and I think Reid would do a good job at 12 and have the muscle of Sexton and Te'o either side of him, not to mention our formidable back-row. I can't see him getting overly exposed.

You must be smoking something with that team selection
It's wasps at home in the European Cup next week not Moseley in a ore season friendly
Bizarre selections throughout that team

I'm somewhat surprised at anyone suggesting Ringrose at wing after last night. I thought he was exposed and his lack of pace was also glaring.
Hope Two is fit.

Ringrose has a centre's pace, like a rocket over 20m

Is there much to be worried about with a home game against Wasps?
