A month on, it's wonderful to see the progress within the Squad and the upward movement of team performances. It's still a mystery precisely who's doing what (coaching wise) and our overall game plan seems fairly traditional - high tempo, mixing width and trucking it up, but always good defensive pace - and somehow there's a much greater sense of confidence about the group and more and more players are playing with confidence.riocard911 wrote:That's just Lancaster doing the "deep thinker" routine. It's nothing more than curiosity whether Stuart Lancaster is coaching only defence or also dabbling in attacking play. Probably the sole area of our game which has been inconsistent has been our line-out. Not a disaster, but it certainly made our job harder last night that we lost possession on our own throw from two penalties to their 22m area.
Stuart Lancaster's addition has enhanced the coaching team. Not for a minute is it assumed that he's done it all on his own. More likely, his personality and experience has helped prioritise what's being worked on and what needs most work and also what precise coaching offers most chance of improvement. Leo looks really relaxed with media, telling it like it is and explaining in straightforward terms, all matters of selection and performance.
It's only October but already the remainder of the Season stretches ahead with expectation, both in terms of team and individual development.
