Yeah saw this earlieroffshorerules wrote:Leinster at 1/3 with the spread at 8 points suggests that most of the internationals will be available.
No way would we be 1/3 if all the internationals missing
Still think those are great odds of evens on Connacht-8

Well Rossy will be available for us. Probably very sad for him but, while I'm surprised, I'm delighted he is now exclusively ours: think he has been playing well this season.
No other real surprises in there for us. I just hope we aren't denied all our squad players.

A pretty strong team can still be fielded sans the Ireland call-upscurates_egg wrote:Well Rossy will be available for us. Probably very sad for him but, while I'm surprised, I'm delighted he is now exclusively ours: think he has been playing well this season.

Would be hopeful that SOB, Carbery, Luke M, Tracy will all be available to us. RK, Jordi and Henshaw might be long shots too.

Few little alternations :leinsterforever wrote:Connacht should be able to name a pretty strong team. Something like:
Loughney out so be JP Cooney at LH
Haven't a monkey uncle who will bench at LH
50/50 between who will start 6 - McKeon or SOB2.0
Cannon was 24th man in Parma so I say he'll bench
I believe Cooney might be available for SH cover

either way theyre missing max 3 players to Carton House, we're missing a lot more, and a lot more angry Connacht boys with a point to prove and against the motherland too

Munster have POM, the two Ryans and Holland available for Friday. Ulster have Marshall, Jackson, Gilroy.
Hopefully means we should get a chunk of our lads, at least those with low gametime and those who won't start in Chicago.

At least one hooker, SOB, Murphy, McGrath, Carberry, and hopefully RK not Ringrosewixfjord wrote:Munster have POM, the two Ryans and Holland available for Friday. Ulster have Marshall, Jackson, Gilroy.

So based on that I would say we defo won't have Heaslip, Sexton and Toner, but outside that everyone else should be fair game (taking in to account that some of the bigger names like Henshaw haven't played much). Fair assumption?wixfjord wrote:Munster have POM, the two Ryans and Holland available for Friday. Ulster have Marshall, Jackson, Gilroy.

If Ringrose and vd Flier are pencilled in for the NZ match they won't be playing on Saturday either. Can't see Furlong being risked either.LeinsterLeader wrote:So based on that I would say we defo won't have Heaslip, Sexton and Toner, but outside that everyone else should be fair game (taking in to account that some of the bigger names like Henshaw haven't played much). Reckon Rob needs to have a very good match v Connacht, if he's to have any chance of starting at 15 v NZ in Chicago ahead of either Payne or Zebo.....

I doubt this match will have any say in who's picked for Ireland bar someone gets injured in it.Schmidt will pick based on who's doing the job he wants in training. As far as I can see playing well for your province gets you into the national squad but getting into the team is based on what you do on the training pitch once you're in.
Re: Leinster v Connacht, Sat 29 Oct @ 17.15 in the RDS
Revised team prediction time!
Dooley, Tracy, Ross, Mike Mac, Nagle, SOB, Leavy, Jordi, JGP, Carbery, Isa, Reid, ROL, ZK, RK
McGrath, Strauss, Bent, Mick K/Molony, Conan, Luke M, Byrne, Daly
I reckon that side should be enough to take a win.

Plus I'd imagine we've had a plan for NZ for a while now.Slowcentre wrote:I doubt this match will have any say in who's picked for Ireland bar someone gets injured in it.Schmidt will pick based on who's doing the job he wants in training. As far as I can see playing well for your province gets you into the national squad but getting into the team is based on what you do on the training pitch once you're in.
