Looks like there'll be no TV coverage for this one.

What happened to the Eurosport deal for the Italian Pro12 matches? I had a look at the Broadcast Schedule on the Pro12 site, and they aren't listed for any of the remaining games.

According to injury update, DK, Carbery, Isa, Ross, MCF all available for this one.
Rhys has torn quad but 'isn't expected to be out for too long'.

I reckon we can field the team below according to the injury list, international deputation and schedule:wixfjord wrote:According to injury update, DK, Carbery, Isa, Ross, MCF all available for this one.

Forwards [1-8]: Dooley, Tracy, Ross, McCarthy, Molony, Ryan, Leavy, Conan
Backs [9-15]: L. McGrath, R. Byrne, D. Kearney, Reid, O'Loughlin, A. Byrne, Nacewa
Subs: Porter, Strauss, Bent, M. Kearney, Timmins, Gibson-Park, Carbery, McFadden
Not too shabby!

Think I'd switch the wings. DK is better defensively, which probably becomes more important on the right flank, and Byrne is probably a more dangerous broken-field runner who should see more ball at 11.hugonaut wrote:I reckon we can field the team below according to the injury list, international deputation and schedule:wixfjord wrote:According to injury update, DK, Carbery, Isa, Ross, MCF all available for this one.

bench is (theoretically) especially strong, having Carberry back is vital on several levels

Much as I'm delighted to see Baby K and Ferg back I'd love to see Billy Dardis getting a chance off the bench this weekend

Depending on his fitness, I wonder would there be a strong hint from No. 10 Lansdowne Rd to start him? Would be harsh on Byrne if he didsimonokeeffe wrote:bench is (theoretically) especially strong, having Carberry back is vital on several levels

Doubt very much they will throw him back in from the start very rarely happens in these days of S&C, I would have expected him to play for Tarf last weekend if he was close to full fitnessBlueWheels wrote:Depending on his fitness, I wonder would there be a strong hint from No. 10 Lansdowne Rd to start him? I would think that would be more likely for academy players, or long term injuries (maybe).Armchair wrote:Doubt very much they will throw him back in from the start very rarely happens in these days of S&C, I would have expected him to play for Tarf last weekend if he was close to full fitnessBlueWheels wrote:Depending on his fitness, I wonder would there be a strong hint from No. 10 Lansdowne Rd to start him? DK, McFadden, Ross will hardly play club rugby before returning to Leinster. Don't think they'll throw Carbery in to start though, but could see him on the bench (not as if we have another proper bench option for 10)

Really hope we win this one in style and get a bit of a bandwagon going.

Carbery hasn't been out for too long and I would imagine Joe wants him back ahead of Keatley so I'd be very surprised if he didn't start. It's the perfect game to bring him back in really.
Re: Benetton v Leinster (Sunday 12 Feb - 1.30)
Two games in five days coming up. I'm guessing there'll be some rotation between the two games. Might get Healy and van der Flier back for the Edinburgh match.*
*assuming they're on the bench in Rome this week.
