The weather forecast currently predicts, what would be, an Irish summer day. 19 degrees, partially cloudy: https://www.eltiempo.es/bilbao.html
But, as the lads above say, it is the Basque Country. You'll only get a reasonably accurate forecast 5 days out, and really only 3 days out, and really, really only when you look out the window.
One thing it is always advisable to bring with you is a raincoat or poncho.
Basque has different words for different types of rain, but the most common type of rain at this time of year is sirimiri - the Spanish refer to it as calabobos, which means something like eejit-soaker. So-called because it doesn't really look like it's raining much at all, but you get very wet. It is a kind of drizzle with tiny drops that fall very densely.
Eejits, you have been warned.

Weather may have an interesting effect on this game, milder wet day may suit them more than us.

where I come from eejit-soaker is called 'wet rain' .... as opposed to 'dry rain'.curates_egg wrote:The weather forecast currently predicts, what would be, an Irish summer day. 19 degrees, partially cloudy: https://www.eltiempo.es/bilbao.html

Remember bringing a group of business colleagues from France, Holland and Sweden to Newgrange in early October some years ago - they were dressed in light jackets and there was a quite persistent drizzle. We rocked up to the window and the lady on duty did an eye roll and asked 'are they foreign', I said yes and she then asked 'did they know they were coming to Ireland'?
Then the lad doing the tour started his monologue with the words - in Ireland we like to say there's no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing!!!

The Swedes in your group would probably say the same thing - "Det finns inget dåligt väder, bara dåliga kläder"Xanthippe wrote:I love that - eejit soaker is brilliant.curates_egg wrote:The weather forecast currently predicts, what would be, an Irish summer day. 19 degrees, partially cloudy: https://www.eltiempo.es/bilbao.html

Poncho? Is that where they made the "Man with no name" movies? If you're too young to remember For a Few Dollars More; The Good The Bad and The Ugly - actually that could be a good heading for the Match Preview.curates_egg wrote:The weather forecast currently predicts, what would be, an Irish summer day. 19 degrees, partially cloudy: https://www.eltiempo.es/bilbao.html

Mate of mine was at their training in UCD the other day, backline running moves had Luke McGrath at 9, with Isa and Lowe on the wings.Lar wrote:Or Luke Mc or Rhys Ruddock?Leinsterlunatic wrote:Anyone got predictions for the team?

Connacht showed us how poor a defender Lowe is, however he still provides so much in attack and it will be a different system.mildlyinterested wrote:connacht means nothing thoLeinsterlunatic wrote:Ica/Lowe and then Larmour on the bench?
