At the time it was said he wanted to play full back(for ireland) and Rob was going nowhere.

Really shitty career movw for him anyway. As Lancaster said ypu have a responsibility to the players and what's best for them. That is not what those seeking to move up and coming players from Leinster are living up to, it's clicks, likes, and self interest.

U20s in Leinster A side yesterday:

1. Charlie Ward - Tullow RFC
6. Sean O'Brien - Blackrock
10. Tim Corkery - Kilkenny RFC
17. Marcus Hanan - Clane RFC
19. Brian Deeny - Wexford RFC
20. Mark Hernan - St. Michaels
22. Andrew Smith - St. Michaels
23. Luis Faria - Wanderers FC

More players from a club background than schools.

With Saracens squad potentially breaking up, is there anyone that we could/would take?

Can't see any of the English lads moving over, but I would take a look at Will Skelton if Mr Fardy doesn't get another extension. Not sure the IRFU would be happy with that albeit, given the talent we have coming through at second row.

I'd take Mako and Skelton

Lmaoooo

I do think that for the next few seasons we’ll struggle with the sheer weight of French packs. Skelton and Mako are the kind of players we aren’t producing

Salanoa might bridge that gap.

Don’t think we’ll be allowed to pick Connacht players in our squad.

Do you know something is signed or are you just referring to the mild speculation about this?

Why would we struggle with the sheer weight of French packs - we haven't in the past. Mako isn't good because he's big, he's good because he's a brilliant footballer. Skelton is useless from the neck up.

Salanoa can bench 200kg and at one stage was 150kg and went down to 125kg due to all the fitness in Leinster training

Yeah- but from the neck down he was a major reason they beat us in Newcastle. You don’t need a “PhD in Rugby” to be very effective if you can break a team with your size- and the team has others to do the thinking.

He was the one name I thought if when the speculation on signing signing started. It’s all a matter, of course. But I would get him is it was possible.

Heard over the weekend that Fardy contract for next Season has been approved and signed off by both parties. A nice piece of business, quietly done. Well done to Mrss Cullen, Easterby & Dawson.

Yeah Fardy looks like he has at least a year left at this level, but it’s no reason not to strengthen the squad if the opportunity is there

Amazing if Fardy is staying on. Exactly the kind of player we need on the books right now as we have a lot of potential at lock but it feels like we’re a year or two out before the likes of Baird, Dowling and Dunne will be ready for prime time.

Would Skelton be ahead of Ryan, Toner or Fardy. I am not sure.

A big signing should be a big improvement.
